(Third p.o.v)
The three of them crept through the hallway towards Clutterbeaks class due to Max and his stupid plan.
"I'd like to go on record and say I don't support this plan." Sal pointed out to Max.
"Neither do I." Sav added.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Duly noted." He told as he waved the two off and peaked in to see she wasn't in the classroom and looked towards the two. "You two stay here to keep a lookout, right? Right?"
"Just hurry." Sal told not wanting to be here any longer.
"And you remember the signal if anyone's coming?"
"Ca-caw! Ca-caw!" Sal demonstrated making Max give a thumbs up before creeping into the room.
He quickly found the papers on the desk and began to search through them as Sal and Sav kept watch down the hallway. To their dismay, Clutterbeak was heading towards the room as she looked through the stack of paper in her hands, making the two panic. Sal tried to signal Max only to get choked up and proceeded to pull Sav into the empty class room next to them and hid as she walked into the room and caught Max looking though the paper she had.
"What are you doing?" Clutterbeak asked making him look towards her and she revealed the sheet he was looking for in her hands as she continued to speak. "Let me guess. You're stealing my cookies. Or are you trying to steal tomorrow's test?"
"What? Why would I do that?"
"Because my pet piranha knows more about biology than you do."
"That's not true. I studied." Max told her before he realised what she said her pet was. "Wait. You have a piranha?"
"You studied? Ha! So, I suppose you'd be willing to prove that by taking the test now." She stated as Sal and Sav revealed themselves in the window.
"Ca-caw!" Sal signalled as he jumped into view and Sav gave an apologetic look.
"Uh, right now?" Max asked to cover for Sal and Sav at the door.
"Yes."
"Sure, yeah. Let's do it."
"Oh, goodie. This should be amusing." She told as she handed it over to Max before heading to her desk as Max got a text.
He looked at his phone to see it was from Sal using the signal too late still, before another one came in from Sav with her apologising she couldn't help him before he was caught, allowing him to finally notice the message she had sent in the morning.
"I think you're pretty priceless." She sent, making him smile a bit from that before he remembered where he was.
As Clutterbeak turned back around Max gave her a somewhat smile before lowering his phone so she didn't see the messages. She looked towards the door, making the two duck out of view before they were also caught. Max sat down in his spot from earlier and Clutterbeak held out a pen to him.
"Have fun, Maximilian." She told making him take it and he looked down at the sheet as she headed to her desk.
"You know, this is probably gonna take a while, so feel free to go to the teacher's lounge while I..." Max was telling her, making her chuckle and cut him off.
"Oh, I'll be right here the whole time."
"Suit yourself." He told before starting the test, knowing he was not going to pass.Sav was waiting by the bike rack at school since Sal headed home and she decided she was going to wait for Max. She fiddled with the ring she got that used to belong to her mother as she waited before Max came out and headed right for her.
"Sav? Why are you still here?" He asked making her point to him. "You waited for me?"
She gave a nod at that, making him smile a little at the fact she waited for him despite not needing to.
"Thanks I guess. Means a lot." He told her and she got her phone out to send him a message.
"How did the test go?"
"Oh it went so well. I got them all wrong." He admitted as he showed her the test.
"How do you get 100% wrong?"
"I have no clue."
"This is bad. You should let me tutor you."
"If this is an example of how bad things can be. I think I may need you to help me.... As long as it's not a bother."
"It's not a bother. I want to help you Max." She informed him, making him give her a smile.
"I would like that very much." He told making her give a smile in return. "Uh, come on. We should head home and tell the others this mess."
She gave a nod to signal she agreed before the two got onto their bikes and headed back to the Hunter house. When the two entered, everyone else was in the kitchen and Sal was the first one to notice the two.
"How'd the test go?" Sal asked.
"Great. Got 100%... wrong. 100% wrong." Max informed the four.
"Sorry, Max."
"Just wait for it." Sav told the group making them give a confused look.
"I'm the one who should be sorry. Clutterbeak wants Erik and Kate to come over for a meeting... tomorrow." He told revealing the note for the two and the rest of the family knew how bad this was.
"Nice going, Max. What are we going to do?" Daniel questioned.
"Don't worry, okay? I got it. I got a plan. We'll be fine. Tomorrow, you'll see a whole new Max." Max stated, making the others share a look at that information.
