Chapter 24

"Kiara!"Alora exclaimed from her room."Where is my-"
"I can't find my cap and jacket!"Elijah cut her off,running down the hallway to find his black Ferrari cap and jacket."Alora,help me!"
"Can you all just calm down?"Kiara shouted from her room while making sure that she packed everything she needed.She rummaged through her drawers and tried to block out the chaos in the house.Elijah,in fact,was getting a little more excited by the minute as they would leave for the airport soon.Alora was the one who seemed to be stressing out.She had only packed last minute the night before,forgetting too many things in the process.And when she couldn't fine something-
"Kiara,do you have my sunglasses?"
She assumed that it was with Kiara.How typical of her twin sister.
"No."Kiara told her,getting her bags and hauling them out of her room,heading downstairs.Though,she almost smiled to herself while doing so.Alora was really going to be surprised when finding out that Kiara had invited Charles to arrive on their birthday...
"We are late,Ki."Her mother snapped.
"My jet,my time schedules."Kiara said,trying to get her mother to relax.
"Please,can we get going now?"
Kiara sighed and glanced at the top of the staircase,watching as Elijah hauled his bag down the stairs,half-dragging it.
"If Alora and Elijah can stop taking their own sweet time,"She said."We can leave now."
Alora said from her room."I'm coming.Just hold on!"
"You better make it quick."Kiara said,opening the door to the garage and stepping in to go to the car.
"Too...heavy..."Elijah grunted and dragged his bag across the floor and into the garage.
Kiara rolled her eyes and grabbed the bag from him,tossing it into the trunk of the car.She put her hands on her hips and stood there,waiting for everyone else to hurry up.

"I thought it would be hotter."Elijah said as they got off the jet.
"Kiara chose the location."Alora told him.
Kiara rolled her eyes."And Alora agreed on the location."
"We should have rather came during the summer break."Lina said,glancing up at the clouds.
Kiara shrugged."I should have checked the weather forecast..."
"Yeah,you idiot."Alora said.
"Shut it,"Kiara told her."You planned it too."
"You could have just asked Carlos."Elijah put in as he slowly hopped down the steps from the jet,his little backpack bobbing up and down on his back as he did so.Kiara tried to ignore that comment.
"I want to take a nap."Alora groaned.
"We literally just landed."Kiara snapped.
"I know."She sighed and started to walk off.Elijah,excited as always,hurried behind her.
On the way to the villa,Alora did,in fact,take a nap in the car.Even though the drive wasn't even long since Formentara wasn't a big place,she somehow managed fall into a deep nap not even halfway through the drive.And it was an effort to keep Elijah from drawing a moustache on her face or hiding her belongings and purse.
Kiara,driving the hired car they all sat in,finally arrived at the villa.She parked the car just outside and turned in her seat to look at the back seats,where Alora was still asleep next to am impatient Elijah.
"Alora."Kiara said,trying to wake up her sister.Alora,of course,did not reply and slept on.
"I say we leave her in the car."Elijah nodded and shifted to open the door on his side.
"Tempting."Kiara nodded "But she'll probably kill me for that."
"She'll still kill you for even waking her up."Their mother said."It works both ways..."
Kiara sighed and unclipped her seatbelt.She unlocked the doors and Elijah immediately got out to get a good view of the villa.
She moved to Alora's side of the car and opened the door,giving her sister a tap on the shoulder.Alora grunted and shifted away.
"Alora,wake up!"Elijah exclaimed with a grin."I want to go to the pool."
Alora muttered something,but carried on with her nap.
Kiara rolled her eyes,then turned to her mother.
Lina said."Go inside so long.I'll wake her up."
Kiara nodded and pulled out the keys to the villa,which she had fetched earlier when they had landed.She moved to the front door and unlocked it,Elijah pushing past to run inside.It was a nice sized building,two floors in total.There were seven rooms in total,three which had their own bathrooms.And to Elijah's luck,there was pool near the deck in the backyard.Yes,they had a pool at home.But Elijah, no matter where he was,always got excited for those type of things.
He immediately ran to the glass doors right at the back,which led to the garden that overlooked the ocean.He pressed his face to the glass and looked out at the view,causing Kiara to laugh at his curiosity.
She glanced around,inhaling some air before turning to look back at the car.She didn't hire anyone for their stay.She didn't feel the need to have one or two workers around.Mostly because she didn't plan on always being at the villa all day.
Alora had finally woken up,rubbing at her eyes as she approached the front door.Their mother laughed at her as she almost tripped over the threshold of the front door.
"You won't be able to sleep tonight,you idiot."Kiara said to Alora as she dropped down on the couch in the lounge.
"A few minutes won't hurt."She yawned,lying down across the couch.
Kiara shook her head and walked over to Elijah.
"Can we go to the beach?"He asked.
"Now?"Kiara arched a brow and looked down at her watch.It was almost sunset,which meant that he wouldn't have too much time to play there,even though they could literally just take a walk down to the beach from the garden.
"Or can I swim?"He asked.
"Don't you want to rather do it tomorrow?Fresh and early?"She suggested."We're all a little tired from the flight."
He sighed."Fine."He ran over to the lounge and turned on the television,startling Alora as he jumped onto the couch and flipped through the channels.
Kiara pulled her phone out of her pocket and texted a few people.Mostly Daniel,Ivy and her father,who wanted her to text back saying when she landed and if she had a good flight.Her father had confirmed that he was coming the next day.But she never knew with him,since he was mostly busy.And if he actually came,she knew that he wouldn't actually mind staying in the same villa as her mother.They grew to ignore each other a little in situations like this,mostly just doing it for Kiara amd Alora's sake.
There was also a message from Lando,but she wasn't really in the mood to open it,since she knew that there was a high chance of it mentioning Carlos.
Kiara soon approached the staircase and walked up to one of the rooms.She liked the one at the end of the hall the most,so she sat down on the large bed there.Fortunately,the room had a balcony that overlooked the garden and beach.
She soon decided to dial Charles.He picked up after a few seconds and she said."Just confirming,Charles."
He said."So,tomorrow night.At dinner?"
"Yeah,"Kiara told him."That way she can't kill me for this."
Charles laughed."I mean,you never know.Maybe she could pull out a surprise of her own."
"But I bet it won't be as big as this one."She said.
"We'll see,then."He said.
"Okay,"Kiara added."So,I'll send you more of the details closer to the time?"
"Sounds good."He replied."Let's just hope she doesn't kick me out of the villa and make me sleep on the road."
"Oh,come on."Kiara said."Why would she do that?"
"I mean,won't you too?"
"Excuse me?"Kiara frowned. What is he saying?!
"Nothing."He said,trying to cover it up with a laugh."Anyway,thanks for the help.Bye,Kiara."
"Bye?"
He ended the call and she sat there confused for a moment.But she soon shrugged it off and went back downstairs.Hopefully,things would go as planned and Alora wouldn't give Kiara a hard time for this.One of the reasons Kiara actually came up with this was because she found out about what was happening between Charles and Alora.She didn't know it by detail,but she knew enough to understand what was happening.They fought and Alora purposefully went out with someone Charles mentioned during the argument.Kiara had no idea what the argument was about in the first place.But she knew that Charles was really trying to make up for what he said.And he really wanted to prove that he could do better.
Kiara walked down the stairs and entered the lounge,seeing that Alora was finally awake and watching TV with Elijah.
"Want to get our bags?"Kiara asked,picking the car keys from the nearby counter.
Alora got up from the couch,Elijah repeating her actions.They both soon followed Kiara outside to get their luggage.
