Chapter 87

"Don't you dare."Kiara narrowed her eyes at her sister.
Alora threw her hands up and shook her head."I wasn't doing anything."
"Liar."Elijah said,blocking his sandcastles from Alora,who had nearly stepped on it all.
Kiara looked up at her sister,then began to stand up as she dusted some beach sand off her hands."We worked for over forty-five minutes on this thing."
"And I wasn't going to do anything."Alora said,then slyly winked.
"Ugh."Kiara playfully rolled her eyes.
She looked back down at Elijah,bending down to fix up his beach hat that was falling off.
"Can I go fill my water gun?"Elijah asked as he grabbed the water gun from the beach bag.
"Okay."Alora nodded."Let's go."
Alora and Elijah soon set off towards the waves of water ahead,Elijah's little feet hurrying to keep up with Alora's big steps.
Kiara sat down on one of the beach chairs they had put up.She grabbed the beach bag from the floor and pulled out the glass bottle of water within.
Doing so,she recalled some moments...Moments that included a glass bottle of water and fun at the beach with a few other drivers.She couldn't believe that it was already over ten months ago.But then again,she could hardly believe many of the things that had happened this year.
She leaned back in the chair and took a sip of water,enjoying the warm sun.It was really surprising,actually,that the sun was out.This time of December was usually a little cold out in Monaco.That was why they wasted no time in coming to the beach once the weather came in good.
Kiara soon pulled out her phone and began to text.

Ivy: I'm bored.

Kiara: Why?

I: I'm home alone...

K: You're back in Australia?

I: Yep

K: But Lando isn't there?

I: Exactly...I need a punchable person around.

K: 😭

Kiara laughed to herself a little,then moved on to her other social media.She opened Instagram to find a post by F1,which immediately made her smile.

Kiara arched a brow as she smiled.Yes,she was really glad right now.She still couldn't understand how the F1 community,especially fans,suddenly grew a soft spot for her.But she was grateful for all of it,after all.
"Kiara!"Elijah giggled from nearby.
As soon as Kiara looked up,he was already shooting her with the water gun,Alora laughing in the back.
Kiara yelped and shielded her face as he sprayed the water at her.
She stood up from the chair and began to run away.
"Get her!"Alora laughed.
Elijah grinned in excitement and started to chase Kiara.
She chuckled as she ran down along the sand of the beach.Elijah didn't give up easily and sprayed water her way anytime she slowed down.
Her white shirt already had water spilled on the front.At this point,she felt like taking it off and staying in her monokini alone.
"Wait,I ran out of water."Elijah said,suddenly stopping.
Kiara turned around to face him,a small wave washing against her ankles.She started off towards him when she saw that he couldn't get it right.
"Aw,come on."He pouted as it refused to work.
Kiara attempted to help,but the barrel wouldn't open.
"No..."Elijah sighed in disappointment,kicking at the beach water that washed along the sand.
"Hey,it's okay."Kiara said."Just go look in the bag with Alora.There should be something else to play with in there."
He gave a tight nod and ran off towards Alora,who was sitting on the beach chair and reading a book.
Kiara turned back to look at the water.She looked slightly up at the late afternoon sun and took a few steps forward till the water reached her calves.Though the water was a little cold,she quickly got used to it.
She stood there for a long moment with a calm expression upon her face as she gazed out at the ocean,enjoying the view ahead.
After a few minutes,she thought she heard Elijah call out her name urgently,as if excited again.She didn't look back and just assumed that he had found some toy to play with.Perhaps Alora was messing with his sandcastle again.
Kiara sighed and looked towards the horizon.Something felt as though-
Her body immediately froze a moment later,arms wrapping around her tightly and pulling her back.It happened in a matter of seconds,goosebumps immediately running up her arms.Still in shock,she gasped as she felt someone's lips land on the side of her neck.
"Oh,God-"Kiara started.She didn't know who it was.So,in that moment,she immediately shoved off their arms and turned around,almost tripping with the sudden movement.
"Who the hell-"
She immediately stopped as she first saw the brown of his eyes,the mischievous look within.Another wave of surprise made her eyes widen,seeing him standing there in his shorts and a button-down shirt,which was opened at the top.
