Kiara sat in her drivers room, the door locked as she sat on a chair with her face buried in her hands.
She sniffled, wiping away another tear as she looked at the trophy again.
Talk about having a good day after winning.
"Bastard."She muttered clenching a fist. She didn't know what to do.
He was a liar. And she was a fool to have trusted him.
Each time they had spent together...Had it not been enough for him?Was she not enough for him?
He had certainly lied about being so determined to be with her.He had lied about not having anything to do with Amber. And he lied about all his feelings for her.
Kiara swallowed, blinking a few times. It was a crap feeling...Just when she thought that this year could be different, the same problem arised. One of the same people arised to ruin it all again.
"Kiara?"Lydia called,knocking on the door.
"Yeah?"Kiara quickly changed her voice tone, trying to make it seem as though she hadn't just cried her eyes out.
"Can I come in?"
"Uhh...Maybe not now."Kiara replied.
"But we need to discuss your media schedule."She said.
"In a few minutes,please."
Lydia went quiet for a moment as someone started to speak to her.But even from her drivers room,Kiara could tell who it was as they tried to explain to Lydia to give some space.
"Hey,Ki."Daniel said,knocking on the door.
"Hi."Kiara said, not even standing up to open the door.
"Can I come in?"He asked.
She went quiet for a moment and he said."Listen,I know what happened,Ki.Let's just talk about this."
Kiara sighed, finally standing up and moving to unlock the door. She let Daniel in,closing the door behind him as he entered.
"How do you know what happened?"She asked, turning to face him after closing the door.
"I saw it first."He said."And also...I wasn't the only one to see it.Lydia has more PR work to do now thanks to that idiot."
Kiara sighed, shaking her head."It's not fair."
"I know."He nodded."And I'm really sorry,Ki."
Kiara fought back the urge to cry again as she thought about it all again.
Daniel noticed that, stepping over to her and pulling her into a hug, saying."It's okay.Trust me,maybe there's a misunderstanding or-"
"There's no misunderstanding."She exhaled, hugging him back and shutting her eyes."Everything was clear and I was too stupid to see it."
"Don't say that."He told her."What if-"
"They were good friends before this."Kiara said."In Baku, they went out together. And then she suddenly gets invited to the paddock and Ferrari garage. What isn't there to understand?"
Daniel went quiet, listening to her words.
"What did I do wrong?"Kiara sighed, pulling back and moving to sit down again.
"You didn't do anything wrong."Daniel said."He's the asshole. He's the one at fault. Not you."
Kiara shrugged."I don't know what to do..."
He thought about something for a second, then asked."What are you doing tonight?"
She shook her head."I don't know yet."
"I say we go to the club."He nodded."Just for tonight, forget about it all.You won a race today,Kiara. You shouldn't be sad today at all."
She thought about that for a second.
"What do you say?"He gave her a pat on the shoulder.
She nodded and he gave a weak smile, leaning down and giving her another hug.
"Oh,and one more thing."He said."Don't forget that you need to go to the media pen soon."
Kiara almost smiled at that."Lydia told you to say that?"
He smiled,nodding."Yes,actually."
She let out a weak laugh at that and nodded. Then,a minute later, she finally left her drivers room.

"He did what?!" Alora demanded, following Kiara as she pulled out her pair of shoes.
"You heard what I said."Kiara told her, putting on her shoes and standing up from the couch.
"And where are you going?"Alora frowned, watching Kiara smooth a hand over her black short skirt.
"Club."Kiara said.
"With who?"
"Danny."She replied,pulling her hair up into a pony-tail.
"So,what's this?"Alora scoffed, putting her hands on her hips."You're just going to drink it away?"
"Precisely."Kiara muttered, not looking at her sister as she sighed and grabbed her phone and purse from nearby.
"Kiara,what the-"
"I won a race in Monaco today,Alora."She said to her sister."And I don't want to spend tonight thinking about that asshole and what he just did today."
The memory came back to Kiara and she felt something in her drop. She swallowed, lowering her gaze.
Alora crossed her arms, then watched as Kiara said."I'll be back in a minute."
She left the lounge and went into the bathroom, locking the door and leaning her back against it as she tried to ignore the feeling in her gut.She thought about what she saw today. And she thought about how it should have been obvious from the time Lando mentioned that they had gone for dinner the on night in Baku. And that had been almost a month ago.She and Carlos...Almost a month already...
Moreover,it was the same person who had come back. The same one who ruined so many things last year.
She sighed deeply, walking over the sink and leaning against it as she felt her eyes water.
"Fucking Amber."Kiara muttered."What happened?Nathan realised what a bitch you are and now you're targeting me again?"
She scoffed to herself, shaking her head and raising her gaze to the mirror. She looked at herself for a moment, then asked herself yet again. Was I not enough?
Alora knocked on the door."You okay?"
"Yeah."Kiara replied."I'm coming.Just...give me a second."
"Daniel and Max are here."Alora said."I told them that you'd be out soon."
"Alright, thanks."Kiara said, looking away from her reflection in the mirror and stepping towards the door.
She walked out of the bathroom and started to leave the apartment, getting a hug from Alora on the way out.
"You ready?"Daniel asked.
Kiara nodded at him, then greeted Max.
They started to walk down the hallway and Daniel said."Okay,on a scale of one to ten...How drunk do you think Max is going to get?"
"Hey!"Max frowned."I'm driving,remember?"
"You never know what the future holds."He said with a shrug.
Kiara managed to smile a little as Max narrowed his eyes, shaking his head.
