Kiara sighed, sitting down on the couch and crossing her arms. She looked at Alora then shrugged."I'm not going to do it."
"I'm not either."Alora said, raising her hands in defence.
Kiara leaned back in the couch, her gaze on the phone on the coffee table.
"Are you two seriously debating on who has to order the food?"Charles arched a brow, walking into the lounge and sitting down next to Alora.
"What if I place the order wrong?"Alora sighed in frustration.
"You two are literally-"
"Shut up,Charles!"She snapped.
Kiara arched a brow."I have an idea."
"What?"
"Charles can place the order."
"I am so confused."
Kiara sighed again, pinching the bridge of her nose. She handed Charles the phone, saying."Order two pepperoni."
Charles arched a brow and took the phone."You two-"
"I'm hungry."Alora pointed a finger."Just order the pizza."
There was a knock on the hotel room door and Kiara stood up."I'll get it."
It was currently the Austin grand prix week, the Wednesday that Kiara had arrived. She was still trying to forget about what had happened at the Qatar grand prix,as much as it was already days ago.
And she felt even more bad sometimes ever since she saw a video online of Carlos carrying her to the medical tent after she had passed out. Before that, she had thought that the marshals had taken her to the medics. And she had just talked to Carlos about it like that, oblivious that he was the one who helped her.
Kiara walked to the hotel room door and opened it,immediately seeing the man who she was thinking about.
Her expression brightened and a smile came to his face as he asked."Can I come in?"
"I don't even know why you're asking."Kiara chuckled.
He stepped forward, putting his hands on her arms and looking down at her with a lustful gaze.
She understood why...They hadn't seen each other since last week.
Carlos leaned down and kissed her, lightly pushing her back into the hotel room as they kissed.
Kiara smiled through the kiss, raising her hands to his face.
But just as they nearly continued on,she remembered something.
She pulled back, her eyes a little wide as she whispered."Charles and Alora are here."
Carlos' eyes widened."Oh,I-"
"Too late..."Alora said from nearby.
"I didn't see anything."Charles raised his hands in defence.
Kiara pursed her lips and Carlos just put a hand on the back of his neck.
"Whatever,"Charles chuckled."I ordered the food.Let's just forget about what happened."
"Oh,yes please."Alora sighed in relief, throwing her hands up as she walked back to the lounge.
Carlos met Kiara's gaze and he just laughed a little, following Charles and Alora back to the lounge as he pulled Kiara along with him.

"You need anything?"Carlos asked.
"Nope."Kiara said, leaning her head against his shoulder as he leaned back on the backrest of the couch.
She clicked one of the buttons on the tv remote, lowering the volume as she looked up at Carlos.
He met her gaze after a moment, softly as he gazed down at her.
"I'm sorry for-"
"Wait."He shifted,putting his arm around her."I don't know what you're about to apologise for,but don't,cariño."
Kiara sighed, shaking her head.He placed his other hand on her thigh and she put her hand on top of his, saying."I'm sorry for speaking about the whole situation in Qatar as if you literally weren't the one to help me in the first place."
He arched a brow."You don't need to thank me for that."
"I do."She nodded,giving his hand a squeeze."Mostly because I didn't even know till yesterday."
He shrugged."And there's nothing wrong with that. So,you don't need to apologise."
She gazed up at him,at his sincerity.A smile nearly came up on her lips as she thought about how lucky she was to have him.Honestly,he made it sound like it was his duty to look after her like that. And that's what made her feel happiness as she looked at him.
"How are you so kind?"She asked, finally smiling as she moved her hand to cup the side of his face.
"How are you so beautiful?"He winked, leaning closer.
"Stop it."She chuckled, hiding her blush as she playfully hit his arm.
"What?"He told her."I'm not lying."
She shook her head, now smiling through a blush. She couldn't meet his gaze after that, trying to hold back her grin.
"Let me see that smile."He laughed, taking her chin and making her look up at him again.
"Not for free."She looked away again, crossing her arms and trying to suppress her smile.
"Aww,"He sighed."Please.For me?"
She looked up at him, arms crossed. Then, she flashed him a forced, false smile.
Carlos laughed,shaking his head.
Hearing that laugh,Kiara let the corners of her mouth lift a little.
She sighed, finally showing a genuine smile as she lifted herself a little to give him a kiss on the cheek. When she pulled away again,he pulled her back, saying."My last year self would never believe me right now."
"Same for me,I guess..."Kiara chuckled.
"Remember the first time I confessed to you?"He lifted am eyebrow,a mischievous look on his face.
"I try not to.It makes me feel guilty."She poked his shoulder, shaking her head.
"Fine..."He nodded."But do you remember...The Australian Grand Prix weekend?"
"The one where I kicked you?"She frowned."Let's avoid that topic."
He laughed."I mean,it kind of shows how far we've come...From even last year."
Kiara nodded in agreement, then leaned her head against his shoulder again.
He pressed a kiss to her head, holding her close as they sat together for the rest of the night.

"Good job,Ki."Santiago said."Keep it up."
Kiara smiled to herself as she got out of the car, receiving claps on the back from the mechanics when she got back to the garage.
"Hey,can we switch positions?"Max asked as he congratulated her on the pole position.
"In your dreams."Kiara chuckled, playfully hitting his arm.
He laughed, shaking his head as he went back to his side of the garage.
Kiara set her helmet aside and went to meet up with Lydia on the way to her drivers room, feeling good after that qualifying session.
"You're up first."Lydia said,referring to the interviews.
Kiara nodded, following Lydia to the media pen a few minutes later after she changed into her Red Bull polo and denim shorts.
The paddock seemed more full,of course.Though that was predictable, since it was the Austin Grand Prix. There usually came that buzz to the paddock. And it was actually enjoyable.
Though, this morning,Kiara had a good laugh with Daniel as they walked into the paddock and found a literal bull.Yes,the actual animal.
Daniel had whispering a comment about riding it and Kiara had just arched a brow.Last year,he was the one to literally ride in on a horse, wearing a jacket that represented the American flag.
"I want a cowboy hat."Kiara said.
"Kiara Wolff wants a cowboy hat?"Lydia arched a brow.
She shrugged."I'm just in a good mood."
Lydia chuckled."Get pole position more often, then. As much as it helps the team,it's helping me sort out your PR aspects throughout the weekend."
"So,that's a PR and marketing strategy now?"Kiara laughed, shaking her head.
Lydia smiled, just directing her to her interview.
"Seriously, though."Kiara said to Lydia before approaching the journalist."I want that cowboy hat."
