As promised Nick, Matt and Chris woke up early that day and got ready to head out, but before they could swiftly make their exit they were stopped. "Up early today boys. What's the occasion?" A voice hissed dryly behind them.
"Good morning General. We were going to get an early start on that magma pocket." Nick replied calmly, or at least as calmly as he could.
"You three have been spending a lot of time out there." She continued, peering down at the nervous men. "Just how impressive is this magma pocket that would have you spending all of your time there?" She grilled them hoping one of would crack.
"The data we are getting is close to that of the volcano. That volcano spreads out for miles. Finding one this far out is pretty impressive. I want to study it thoroughly and see how it could be so strong from all the way out here." Chris replied. He sounded so believable that for a split second Nick and Matt even believed him.
Their general stood silent for a moment, making sure to hold an uncomfortable amount of eye contact with each of them. "Understood." Was the general's simple reply. "I want a full report of this magma pocket on my desk by Monday, are we clear?" She ordered. "I want to know what we're up against.
"Yes, I will have it for you by Monday." Chris agreed, and watched as she walked down the hall and out of sight.
"Chris...what the hell are you doing? What report?" Nick whispered.
"We need to find Lisa. Now." Chris barked.
"Why?" Matt stated nervously.
"She is a master at hacking right? So she can fake a report for me." Chris replied, before running off to Lisa's office.
"Shit." Matt sighed chasing after Chris.
"I am not sure if we should just expect that!" Nick groaned before chasing after his friends. The group ran around the different sections of the base for almost thirty minutes until they finally spotted her walking in their direction.
"Lisa!" Chris exclaimed with relief in his voice.
