Henilo ran as fast as his leg would allow, searching for his sisters but they were nowhere to be found. "Oh ah!" Henilo called out, waiting for a reply but heard nothing in response. "No, no, no!" Henilo growled, as he began to panic. "Vialo!" He shouted in desperation.
"AH, lonu ayoengit." Vialo could be heard screaming from outside the tree line
Henilo ears shot back in panic hearing his sister's cry. "No!" Henilo exclaimed, running out of the tree line only to be met with the horrifying sight of his sister's being dragged away by the humans. "NO!" Henilo cried, ready to chase after them, but was met with Vialo's fear-filled cry.
"Kehe..." Vialo sobbed, stopping Henilo in his tracks. "Kehe." She repeated, as they continued to get further and further away.
Henilo watched, as tears poured out of his eyes. He didn't know what to do. He stood there, until Tsovey's voice could be heard as she cried out for her parents. At that moment Henilo bolted back home. He ran so fast he didn't even have time to register where he was going. In his blind fear he didn't realize he had been running through dense and sharp branches that were leaving deep gashes all over his body, that he couldn't feel...the pain had been numbed out by fear induced anxiety. "They took them!" He screamed, emerging from the shadows. "The humans! They took them." He sobbed, as he collapsed to the ground.
"No!" Lìyìnuk screamed in terror.
"Henilo." Tatal cried, as she slowly made her way to her brother who was covered in bloody slashes. "What...what happened?" She exclaimed, reaching out to her brother.
"We need Chris." Henilo replied quickly, still on the fear induced adrenaline rush.
Tatal let out a sharp breath before nodding in response. "I'm going. Chris will know what to do." Tatal exclaimed, as she stood to her feet.
"No, Tatal." Pxäkngam barked. "You are not going anywhere." He ordered. "This is my fault." Pxäkngam stated. "I will go." He finished.
"No, you are not! No one is!" Lìyìnuk proclaimed. "We will think of something." She added, as she began pacing again.
"We do not have time to think, mom." Tatal exclaimed, gaining her mother's attention. "We don't." She emphasized. "But Chris will know what to do! I need to go there and find Chris." She continued walking to the tree line, but just then she bumped into something, or someone that was sturdy enough to make her fall to the ground.
"Sorry Tatal!" Nick exclaimed. "Are you okay?" He asked, helping Tatal back to her feet.
"Nick!" Tatal cried, hugging the man tightly.
"Wow, what's wrong?" Nick questioned, returning Tatal's embrace, though it only lasted for a brief moment.
"Where's Chris?" She asked nervously, as she pulled away from Nick.
"I'm right here, what happened?" Chris replied, taking hold of Tatal's forearms.
"They took them." Tatal cried.
"Took who?" Matt questioned nervously.
"V..." Henilo tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come out.
"Oh my god Henilo, what happened to you?" Nick asked, lowering himself so he was eye level with Henilo.
"It is not important." Henilo replied sharply, due to the pain beginning to set in from his injuries.
"Tatal, who did they take?" Chris repeated, looking straight into her eyes.
"Vialo, Sakire and Tsovey." Tatal exclaimed, tears pouring down her cheeks.
"Shit, did you see where they went?" Chris barked.
"Yes, I did." Henilo replied, as he struggled to get to his feet.
"Henilo...take it easy, you're bleeding...everywhere!" Nick ordered, reaching out to help Henilo stay upright.
"No, I am fine. I saw where they went." Henilo repeats, holding onto Nick.
"Okay, show me." Chris requested, Henilo only nodding in reply.
"Kehe, oeyä 'itan ke kä hu po." Lìyìnuk cried, as she reacted out for her son.
"Mom, it is alright. I will be fine." Henilo reassured his mother, squeezing her hand.
"Henilo." Lìyìnuk whispered.
"I will bring him back." Chris exclaimed, catching Lìyìnuk and Pxäkngam off guard. "I will bring all four of your children back." Chris added, looking over to Tatal. "I will bring them back." Tatal only nodded in response before the four males vanished.
They ran for a short while, making sure to not rush Henilo. Once they reached the tree line they crouched down to the ground. "Where did you see them go?" Chris questioned.
Henilo looked for a moment before his eyes froze on one spot. "There." He exclaimed softly. "They went through there." Henilo replied, pointing to the west side of the base while also trying to keep himself standing.
"That's where the armory is." Nick exclaimed, making sure to keep a hand on Henilo.
"Shit." Chris hissed. "Henilo go back to your family and tell them to pack." Chris ordered.
"No, I am going with you." Henilo hissed.
"You are injured Henilo...badly, might I add." Chris fought. "Plus, I need you to get bandaged up so you can keep them safe." Chris begged, placing a hand on Henilo's shoulder. "When I come back you will have more than just the girls." He added.
"What?" Henilo questioned in confusion.
"I don't have time to explain it right now, but when we return, I'll tell you everything." Chris exclaimed with a smile. "Go back." He repeated. Henilo sighed, but did as Chris asked and began making his way back to his family.
"What's our plan Chris?" Matt asked.
"Get them back home, no matter the cost." Chris replied.
Nick let out a nervous sigh. "No matter the cost." Nick agreed.
"Well, we have no place here anymore." Matt chuckled. "If we don't die today, let's take our friends and run." Matt proposed.
"Agreed." Chris and Nick exclaimed together.
"Let's save our friends." Nick proclaimed, and with that the trio ran back to the base.
