Kion and the Guard was exhausted. They had been patrolling for 2 hours now, and it was hot.

"It's all clear up here, Kion!" Ono shouted from above, causing Kion to stop on this hill side over looking the outlands. They had did 2 laps round the Pride lands and they deserved a break.

"Alright. How about we have a little break. We all meet up at flat ridge rock in an hour." Kion said, while they all agreed and went there seperate ways. Kion waited until hey all were out of view, before he took of into a run towards the Outlands.

Once he was at the boarder, he jumped up onto flat ridge rock, he sat down and looked around. He yawned, and slowly lay down once seeing no one.

"Hey." Kion spun round, sighing in relief when just seeing it was Kovu.

"Hey Kovu." Kion said, with a small smile. He lay back down, while Kovu sat beside him.

"Thought you were patrolling." Kovu said, while nudging Kion abit.

Kion smiled back to the smirking Kovu.

"I was. Then I gave the Guard a little break. We're meeting back here in an hour." Kion explained, "Where's Kopa and Vitani? Thought you would be hanging with them."

"Zira wanted them. Something about a big plan? I don't pay attention no more and I kinda think she picked up on that." Kion chuckled.

"Don't she ever. . . include you? Or try to make you do the plan?" Kion asked.

"No. Well, she does I just never turn up. I'm fed up of Zira wanting to take over the Pride Lands and over throw Simba. Although, I hate Simba personally. And, when I found out about what he does to you, Kion, I don't feel guilty about it. . ." Kovu explained, while looking upto Kion with a smile.

"Thanks." Kion whispered, before yawning.

"Hey Kovu. Kion!" They both turned and saw the Guard standing there, they all was smiling widely at him, Fuli was smirking big at Kion then motioned to Kovu with her eyes, causing Kion to glare at her.

Kion glanced to Kovu. He didn't realise the time. Time moved really fast when he was with Kovu.

"Uhm, I-I guess I'll see you later." Kion said softly, while Kovu smiled at him.

"You sure will. I'll tell Kopa and Vitani that you were here." Kovu said, and Kion nodded with a smile before he jumped down from the rock and ran of.

"Kovu! Hey!" Kovu paniced slightly and spun round, slowly relaxing and sighing in relief when realising it was just Kiara.

"Hey Kiara." Kovu said, and looked back to where Kion sat.

"Uhm. . . so, I see you and Kion were talking." Kiara said, with a clear smirk on her face.

"Yeah, we were." Kovu said more dreamily, before he shook his head to snap out of it, "Anyway, what you doing here?"

"Just out for a little stroll waiting to see how long the spys Dad has set on me will find me." Kiara said, with a smirk, "I've gotten pretty sneaky over the years."

"Cool." Kovu mumbled, still looking to where Kion ran of to, "Wanna be even more sneaky?"

"Hell yeah!" Kiara exclaimed, causing Kovu to smirk and jump down from the rock.

"Let's go spy on Kion. Just to make sure he's safe, since it's his first day on patrol in weeks." Kovu said, and Kiara went along with it, running after Kovu, now and again jumping into bushes or behind trees to avoid being seen.

"There he is." Kiara whispered as they hid behind a bush, Kovu smiled when seeing Kion stood there on a rock, with the Guard behind him.

"Are you okay, Kion?" Beshte suddenly asked, causing Beshte to turn and look at him.
