Chapter 3

"And, why can't I?" Kopa asked, staring intensly at Kion, causing Kion to take a step back, feeling a little intemidated.

"Uhm, I- uhm, everybody thinks your dead!?" Kion stuttered out, till he blurted the first thing, which came to mind. Kopa wasn't having it.

"Well, guess, it's time, for everybody to find out, I'm not." Kopa said, pushing past Kion, as Kion quickly jumped at Kopa, knocking him over, as Kion sat next to him, growling soflty.

"By, what I mean, you can't, I literally mean, you can't!?" Kion shouted, standing up, Kopa also standing up, and tilting his head in confusion.

"He doesn't hurt me! I- uhm, just fell, and the other cuts and scars, and whatever, is from patrol." Kion said, since he had lied plenty, he kinda got used to it, but he didn't make eye contact.

"He doesn't? Okay, then." Kopa said, but still not believeing his younger brother, Kion sighing a sigh of relief, as he looked up.

"Hey, we have a few questions!" Kovu said, Kion turning to him and walked over to him.

"What are they." Kion asked, pretty angry.

"Well, first off, why are you so mean!?" Vitani shouted in Kion's face, him flinching a bit, but quickly ta,ing a step towards her, baring his teeth, Vitani doing the same, as Kovu looked between the two and Kopa came inbetween the two lions.

"Steady there. Bud, calm down!" Kopa said, but insstantly looked at Kion, his eyes changing a hint of red, as Kopa sighed.

'There's no other way...' Kopa thought, as Kion went and pounced at Vitani, Kopa jumping at him, before he could reach her, and pinned him down, growling, but that instantly going away.

"Hey, bud, listen. Come back." Kopa said softly, Kion's growling stopped, as his eyes went normaly, Kopa getting off of him, and Kion rolled over onto his stomack and rubbed his eye, as Kion pulled his paw back and looked at it, him looking upto the sky, then back to Kopa.

"I have to go. And, Vitani, sorry." Kion said, starting to walk away, but Kopa ran infront of him.

"Kion. Visit soon, we are always here, or at the boarder. Also, you in trouble, ya know where to find me." Kopa said, Kion nodding, but sighed.

"Will do." Kion was walking away, till he stopped and turned around, "Stay out of the light. You go by the boarder, it's at night. Ono does dayily pattrols, same as dad's hornbill."

Kopa nodded, as Kion starting running back into the Pridelands, and jumped over the boarder.

"Ya brothers' pretty cute." Kovu said, Kopa's head snapping his way, and glarred at him.

"Leave him be! His life, is already tough as it is." Kopa said, turning to where he could only see a speck, from where he brother was running.
