Kovu had split from Vitani, who he had last seen jumping into the Outlands. He had been looking for Kion for the past 20 minutes, when he started giving up hope when he stopped. He looked up to see the lovely, handsome young lion sat on flat ridge rock, the moon reflecting.

He started makeing his way up there.

~~~
Kion sighed, as he looked down to the ground. He saw his shadow, but he tensed up when he saw another shadow just behind him.
"Hey Kion." Kion spun round, gulping when seeing Kovu stood there, a soft smile on his face, he came to sit beside Kion, who had moved further away from him causing Kovu to frown slightly and take notice of Kion's posture.
It's not straight or tall at all, he's scared. Not scared of Kovu, but scared of what he'll do.
"Hey yourself." Kion mumbled, but Kovu didn't miss the crack in his voice and how scared he sounded.
Kovu turned to face Kion, but he had turned to look the other way.
"Kion." Kovu spoke up, but Kion refused to even open his eyes, "Kion, look at me god damn it!"
Kion flinched when Kovu raised his voice.
"Kion, I like you." Kovu suddenly said, causing Kion to tense up and freeze. He slowly turned around to face Kovu.
"W-What?" Kion finally whispered out.
"I like you. Not like, love. Kion, I love you. I love how feisty you are, I love how protective you are, I love you for you!" Kovu said with honesty, slowly nudging towards Kion who had turned red.
"I-I. . ."
"And, I am sorry I didn't return your kiss the other day, I was just suprised. . . I knew you would have a huge impact on me the day I saw you, but I didn't know it would impact me this big." Kovu had now slowly leaned forward, pressing a softly likc to Kion's check, before they both leaned in for a kiss.
Once there lips touched, it caused them to move closer, there tails touching, while they sat inches apart.
Kion eventually pulled away.
"I guess you feel the same." Kovu said, with a small chuckled. Kion chuckled himself.
"Kovu. . ." Kion muttered, and he got Kovu's attention, "Could we keep this between us. . ?"
"Yeah, of course. If you're not ready to tell then I'm not ready. We're in this together." Kovu said softly, causing Kion to smile softly and to lean his head onto Kovu's chest, causing Kovu to put his head on top of Kion's.
For once, Kion woke up in a good mood. He had slept in the lion guard lair last night, after he and Kovu had to head of to there own homes, before anybody got suspicious. Kion yawned, he had woken up abit later then usual but that was fine.
"Hey Kion." Kion looked of to his side, and smiled at Fuli, jumping down from the rock he was lying on, he landed infront of Fuli.
"Hey Fuli." Kion said, with a smile, while walking over to the watering hole to get a drink.
"You going us on patrol?" Fuli asked, and that question felt weird to Kion. And, he started to feel guilty, he was the leader of the Lion Guard and Fuli was constantly left in charge.
"Yeah, and I'm gonna start to try to be on patrol as much as possible." Kion said, with a smile towards Fuli, "Take a few days of if you want. As a thanks for helping out and taking the role as leader for a few weeks."
"It's okay Kion. You needed some time off, especially to train. And, I want to come along. I like going on patrol." Fuli said, "We're gonna go meet the rest on Flat Ridge Rock!"
