16. ENYA

『 Jini's POV 』

Well, we were all awake. All except for Bae, who's probably in one of her death trance dreams again. None of us were surprised since it was expected to happen.

"We have to go ahead and get everything ready, someone stay back and help her when she gets up", Huening Kai said after we were done eating a light breakfast.

"I'll stay", I volunteered, "I'll be able to withstand the heat even if Sunghoon and Jungwon go too far away".

"Okay then", Huening Kai said, handing me Bae's share of food.

"Don't eat that", Jiwoo teased.

"Yah! Kim Jiwoo!", I yelled at her while she nonchalantly left flipping her hair.

I just sat for a few seconds when Bae woke up with a jolt.

"Oh my! Thank God!", she exhaled in relief. I guess what she saw was horrifying.

"What happened?", I asked alarmed.

"Yunjin! We're all heading to our deaths", she said.

"I thought that was obvious", I replied.

"Nope", she said, "I'm not sure if it's real or not but you were suffocating and Sullyoon was bleeding so heavily and Kyujin was in a dark room, while Jiwoo and Sunoo were being burned alive and I saw Ni-ki's dragon form lifeless and Jungwon was a statue and Yuna, was possessed and Sunghoon was frozen and I-".

She choked. "I was at fault. I caused all your pain, it was me".

"Jinsol, you don't possibly mean to say you tried to kill us. You'd never do that", I reassured her even though the contents of her story scared me.

"But I did", she said, coughing and breathing heavily.

"What happened after?", I asked.

"Everything turned pitch black and the next thing I know, I'm in chains and a man just appears and tells me that I've done a good job", she explained.

"Then he said, "too bad you'll have to die too", and I woke up", she finished.

"Well that was a scary story and that's the worst case scenario probably but we have to go so the two of you better start moving", I heard Huening Kai's voice.

"Why are you so insensitive?! She's scared as hell and that's all you say?!", Yuna yelled at him, entering the cave. These two have started again.

"Whatever", Kai said, rolling his eyes, "eat up, Bae and cheer up. What happened in your dream can be prevented if you succeed in your quest". He went out.

"I swear that man is an idiot!", Yuna cursed and sat next to Bae, "you okay?", she asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine", Bae said, eating her share of breakfast.

"Great! Let's go!", Yuna said. Why is she so peppy?

"Okay!", Bae said matching her energy.
