27. A Fairy Party (if that's what it's called)

『 Jiwoo's POV 』

The tree was beautiful. Like so fricking beautiful.

Also, Sullyoon had passed out and Bae and Jini ran to her side immediately. But I was focusing on the tree, the beautiful tree and the creatures all around.

It was only at that moment that I realized that the realm was such a beautiful place.

"Won't the portals shut down now that the stone is no longer part of the tree?" I heard Drayce ask Althea, who completely ignored him. "Thea! Hey!"

"What?" She asked.

"Won't the portals shut down now that the stone is no longer part of the tree?" he repeated.

"No," was Althea's answer. "The stone has left some of it's magic in the tree. I can sense it. It's why the realm was being drained and why the tree was dying. The tree had somehow absorbed some of the stone's power and so was trying to get it back by killing the tree."

"Is it true, then?" Drayce asked. "The stones have minds of their own?"

"Maybe," Althea answered. "I don't really know, Drayce."

"Guys, Sullyoon's not waking up!" Bae said in alarm.

"Don't y'all have healing fairies that could help her?" Jungwon asked Althea.

"Are Yuna's spells not working?" I asked.

"Yes!" Yuna said, with fear and exasperation in her voice.

"She's the first healing fairy I've seen in a long time," Althea said. "You're out of luck. The least I can do is give her a place to rest."

"She's not dead, right?" Kyujin asked.

"Nope, she's still breathing and her heart's still beating." Jini answered.

"Let's just make sure she gets some rest." Sunoo said. "We all need it, actually."

We were taken to a tree house. Big surprise, huh? In all honesty though, this realm was straight out of a fairytale. There were cute cottages, little homes in literally anywhere; in the flowers, plants, trees, ground. It was kinda dark and so all the lights were on and there were fireflies everywhere. It was too pretty to be true.

Not to forget, the creatures here. Every mythical and fantastical creature I had heard of was here and even the ones I had never heard of too.

"Thea, the creatures seem to be decreasing." Drayce states.

"Yeah, the weakening tree caused a lot of deaths," Althea answered. "There's also been a lack of creatures appearing from the special portal."

"Special portal?" Bae asked.

"There's been a portal in Entwurf since the very beginning which keeps bringing new creatures to this realm. It was there before we created any of the other portals." Althea explained.

"Since the beginning of Cadmodeus' rule or since the actual beginning?" Kyujin asked me in a whisper.

"I don't know," I shrugged. "We could ask Kai and Edlynne later."

"You guys can choose your rooms. Each room has four beds. Dinner will be served downstairs. Come down when the bell rings." Althea instructed and flew away.

"Yuna, Sullyoon, Jini and I are sharing a room." Bae said and the three of them walked into the room closest to them. Sullyoon was floating because of a spell Yuna had used.
