25. In a Tree

『 Jungwon's POV 』

If I got a dollar for everytime I was kidnapped after being turned unconscious, I'd have two dollars which isn't a lot but it's funny how it has happened twice.

I woke up and I was in a huge room with the rest of my friends, even Drayce. So far the only people awake were Ni-ki, Drayce and me.

"Where were you?" I asked Drayce.

"What do you mean?" Drayce asked.

"Before we got kidnapped, where were you?" I repeated. I mean, I was kinda pissed. We trusted him.

"Jungwon, it's okay." Ni-ki said. "Calm down."

"How can I calm down when he just abandoned us?" I argued.

"Bro, you're not thinking straight." Ni-ki said. "The stone was still with me. Drayce couldn't have gone anywhere without endangering himself. Secondly, if he abandoned us, if he betrayed us, would he be stuck here in the prison with us?"

Realization dawned on me, and I flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry." I apologized to Drayce.

"It's fine." Drayce shrugged.

"The rest are waking up." Ni-ki said.

"Then where were you?" I asked.

"I was down in the ledge of the cliff. Althea once told me about a special portal there, I was hoping to use it but you guys got captured and when I came out, I did too." Drayce explained.

"Oh." I said.

"Where are we?" Kyujin asked, as soon as she woke up and looked around.

"Oh look it's Benedict Arnold." Yuna said, with a sarcastic tone, looking at Drayce.

"Huh?" Drayce asked, confused.

"Yuna, he did not betray us. He was trying to find us an entrance to the realm. Not that we need it, considering the fact that we're here already, and that answers Kyujin's question." Ni-ki answered.

The rest were finally getting up.

"How long have we been here?" Jiwoo asked.

"That I don't know." Ni-ki answered.

"The great Ni-ki doesn't know?" Kyujin exaggerated. "That's a first."

"Shut up." Ni-ki said.

"What's going to happen to us?" Sullyoon pondered aloud.

"We're going to get out of this, that's for sure." I said.

"Yeah, Jungwon's right. We managed to get two stones, we'll get the third one too." Jini said.

"Except for the fact that we have no idea where we are and are being held hostage." Ni-ki said.

"You are such an optimistic guy." Kyujin sarcastically said, rolling her eyes.

"I'm just being a realist." Ni-ki replied to her.

"Ni-ki is right, though." Jiwoo said. "Getting out of here is going to be damn near impossible considering the fact that we know nothing."

"See" Ni-ki said. "My fellow '05 liner and I are the last remaining brain cells of the group."

"Keep telling yourself that." Sunoo said.

"Are you calling us stupid?" Jiwoo asked, dramatically.

"Yes." Sunoo deadpanned.

"We're definitely smarter than you." Ni-ki retorted.
