Bella's pov

I woke up early not actually being able to sleep for most of the night. My scar started hurting and it took quite a while for the potion to take effect. I got dressed in my red and black pajamas pants that I had yesterday and pulled on a black tank top, putting my hair up in a ponytail I made my way down to the great hall. I eat my breakfast in peace as nobody else was up and then I made a plate of the things I had seen Mattheo eat the day before. I brought the plate down to the dungeons and knocked on his dorm, he didn't answer as he probably was asleep. I gently turned the handle seeing that the door was open. I tip toed my way inside leaving the plate on his desk with a note and a heating spell to keep the food warm and fresh.

I then made my way down to the kitchen. The elf's were a bit scared of me the first times I went down there, understandably as I was a pureblood Slytherin and those families didn't have the best track record with house elf's. Thankfully they warmed quite quickly ones they realized I didn't mean any harm. I got particularly close to Ziggie and Tommps, they were this cute couple who had been serving pureblood for quite some time before Dumbledore had requited them here.

I had asked them to get me some ingredients so that I could do some baking for the holidays and as I got down there they were eagerly waiting for me with all of the stuff I had requested.

Mattheo's pov

I woke up around 10 realizing I had missed breakfast and therefore decided to stay in bed for a little while longer. I thought a was dreaming when I started smelling waffles in my room, that was until I turned around and saw the plate on my desk along with a note. I got up walking over to my desk and opening the note that read:

Good morning!

I thought I would bring you some breakfast so you could sleep in and also as a thanks for helping me with the tree yesterday. I will be down in the kitchen today doing some Christmas baking, and no I will not force you to join me this time, don't worry.

Have a good day,

Bella

I put the note down as I grabbed the plate and began eating my breakfast. When I was done I took a quick shower before heading  over to my closet to find something to wear. Laying on top of everything was the pajamas pants from last night. I put them on, not wanting to admit that they were extremely comfy, and then grabbed a black shirt before heading down to the kitchen. I don't really know why I went down there but I didn't exactly have anything better to do and although I will never admit it out loud doing this Christmas stuff with Bella was not as bad as I would have thought it would be.

I tickled the pear seeing the painting open up. I had only been in here a few times, mostly being drunk or high and wanting food with Nott. As I stepped inside I could hear the music playing and her angelic voice singing along, she had her back to me as she was putting together ingredients and I stopped for a while admiring the view. From the corner of my eye I could see two elf's appearing, they both froze as they saw me and the smaller one let out a small scream. It caught Bellas attention as she turned around with a worried face, "Oh, hi! I didn't think you would come" she said surprised.

"Well I didn't really have anything else to do"

"Well I'm glad you came" she said a big smile on her face that made her dimples show. "Nice outfit btw" she gave me a wink before turning to the elf's. "Hey guys it fine, this is Mattheo, he's a friend" her voice was comforting as she stepped around the counter to approached the 2 shivering creatures.

"He's.... he's... he's his son, isn't he?" he bigger one spoke trying to hide the smaller one behind him. I liked seeing the fear my presence held, "I am now piss of".
