Chapter 43

Bellas pov

Soon after Mattheo had left the girls barged in to my dorm. "Get up bitch, we're having a girls day" Pansy ordered. 

I groaned not feeling ready to leave my bed yet. "I'm tired, I need some more sleep" I complained turning over. 

"You have been in a coma for like a 3 days and then on bedrest for another 2, that's rest enough. Now get up" she said ripping my covers off. Luckily for me I had Mattheos shirt on, not that I think she would have cared either way. 

I reluctantly rolled out of bed and headed for the bathroom to get ready, I didn't know what she had planned but either way I was in need of a shower. The girls were chatting on my bed as I got ready and I heard the topic of Theo arise just as I finished getting dressed. 

"We hung out a bit yesterday, in the library. Or well, I was studying and he was staring at me, but you know it was nice" She said bringing her knees to her chest. I sat down in the bed with them while brushing trough the knots in my hair. "And then he kind of.." she bit her cheek nervously, "asked me on a date."

The same existed noises left me and Pansy. "What did you say?" I asked almost jumping from joy. 

"She obviously said yes, right?" Pansy filled in. Daphne just nodded before she buried her head between her knees trying to hide her red face. "He said he would pick me up from my dorm at 8" she didn't look as exited when speaking as we were.  

"What's wrong?"

She took a moment before responding in which me and Pansy shared a concerned look. "What if he kisses me?" she finally said. 

"Well do you want to kiss him?" I asked back. 

"Mhmm"

"Then whats the problem?" Pansy asked. 

"Well I have never kisses someone before, what if I do something wrong" she looked terrified, it was the cutest thing. 

"Oh you're gonna do great, just late him take the lead and go with the flow" Pansy answered her. 

"Yeah it comes naturally, trust me" I joined. 

We talked forever about the date and before we went over to Daphnes and Pansys dorm so Daphne could get ready. 

"You know it weird" Pansy began when she heard the shower turn on. "Theo taking a girl on a date, never though I would see the day" 

"Well love can change a man Pansy" I said nudging her shoulder. 

"Like you changed Mattheo?" she responded giving me a devious smile. 

"I didn't change him" 

"Oh yes you did, that man was one of the bigger fuck boys this school has ever seen and now he won't even look in another girls direction. He looks at you like you're a goddess sent from the skies. That man in obsessed Bella. You changed him, but don't worry it's for the better" she said. 

My cheeks reddened a bit when she spoke but I guess it true, I changed him and he changed me. He made me feel happiness and love that I never thought I would get the chance to experience, he makes me want a future, he makes me want to fight, for him, for us. 

Mattheos pov

Just as we were about to leave the meeting room Narcissa stopped us, insisting we helped ourself to some food before heading back to the school. Lucius was in his office and Narcissa grabbed a plate an disappeared leaving us boys alone to eat.

"We should probably get working on the cabinet as soon as we get back" Blaise said before taking a sip of his water. 

"I have some things I need to do first but I'll join you after" I replied. 

"I can join for a little while but I got to go around 6pm" Theo said, his mouth full of pasta as he spoke. 

"Were you going?" Enzo asked, seeming offended that Theo had made plans that didn't include him. 

"I have a date with Daphne" he responded. 

"Ohhhhh, lover boy is finally making a move" Blaise sing songed. Theo shot him an annoyed look but couldn't argue. 

After some nagging he eventually told us what he had planned and it actually sounded like a decent date. He was gonna take her to the big oak tree just outside the school grounds, were he had prepared a picnic while watching the sunset. I was genuinely surprised he managed to think of that on his own. Must have taken a lot of brain power from him which means he really must like her. 

We made it back to the school grounds after thanking Mrs Malfoy for the food and while the boys headed for the room of requirement I took a left down to the dungeons. The classroom door was locked but I heard shuffling from inside, indicating he was there. I knocked on the door patiently waiting as he took awfully long to open. 

"Mr Riddle, how can I help you?" Snape asked only opening the door enough to stick his head out. 

"I need to speak with you, privately" 

His eyes sharpened as he slowly opened the door. There were books and scrolls spread out across every bench and a foul smell came from a bubbling cauldron to the left. Behind me Snape closed the door and mumbled a muffilato spell making sure the classroom was soundproof. "I'm guessing she told you" he said behind me as I studied the papers. 

"She did". The papers before contained a bunch of healing herbs, some crossed over with red while others was circled. "So how do we cure her?" I asked. 

The sharpness in his eyes lessened, as if he expected me to say something different. "You want to cure her?" he repeated with unsureness. 

"I love her, and I plan to spend the rest of my life with her. Now I can't do that if she dies before me, can I?" It was a standoff, he contemplated the truth behind my words, keeping in mind that I'm the dark lords son, while I waited for him to get a grip and let me help him cure her. 

"Look, I know you unsure about me. I know who my father is, but I can assure you as long as you promise the dagger is hidden somewhere he can't find it I have absolutely no fucking interest in it. All I want is to make sure Bella stays alive and my father doesn't find out about her or the dagger. Now are we gonna get to work or just stand here wasting her time" I said a bit more aggressively then intended, but it worked so whatever. 

"I'm trying a new thing, mixing a healing herb with a poisonous one.  I believe that the curse needs to be killed before she can be healed. My first attempt was unsuccessful" he walked around the table picking up a dead frog covered in same black veins Bella has. 

"Did you curse the frog with the dagger?" I asked skeptical. 

"I did, you rather I gave Bella an untested potion and potentially kill her?" he answered a bit snappy. 

"I guess Bella doesn't know about it?". She would never allow us to harm innocent animals to save her.

"What she doesn't know can't hurt her" he responded, putting the dead frog back in the box.

"Good, cause we're gonna need more test frogs" I replied taking a seat and beginning to catch up to his notes. 

Snape eventuellt relaxed a bit more and caught me up to speed with the different things he had tried and the ingredients of her current slowing potions. We ended up working quite well together and I completely forgot about meeting the boys for the cabinet. Thats probably gonna earn me and earful in the morning but it will be worth it.
