The days before the ball was hectic. The great hall was closed off for preparations so all meals were served in the common rooms, and it was messy to say the least. Without the supervision from teachers the students turned feral around food. At lest 2 food fights had happened and a lot of food have been snuck off in to the dorms, especially the desserts.
The ball was tonight and while me and the girls were getting ready the boys had been kind enough to bring our dinner to my dorm. Our dresses were well hidden inside my wardrobe to make sure none of them got a peak before tonight. Mattheo left some red roses for me, not knowing it went well with the nights color theme and I smiled at the irony.
When the boys eventually left to get themself ready we did the finishing parts of ur hair and makeup before putting on the dresses. It was a struggle to get the heels on after the dress, but an even bigger struggle getting the dress on if the heels came first... So we settled on helping each other with the heals in order to not risk ruining any dresses.
Pansy kept redoing her hair as we heard the footsteps of the other students making their way down to the great hall. Ones she eventually settled on a hairdo the halls were empty and while me and Daphne rushed down Pansy seemed to have no stress.
"Stop running, It will be better if we show up late" she said from a few feet behind us.
"How does that make sense?" Daphne asked as we slowed our steps a little.
"Because when we show up everybody will be there to see us walk in"
"And everybody will be staring at us" Daphne said not seeming so fond of the attention.
"Exactly" Pansy responded. I wasn't even surprised, she never said no to being the center of attention. She probably delayed her hair on purpose as to have an excuse to make us late. I laughed as the thought as me and Daphne eventually slowed our steps to fall in line with hers.
