Mattheos pov
I bearly slept that night, instead I stayed up watching the clock feeling like each minute was endless, when it hit 7 am I gave up and went for a shower. Letting the cold water numb my senses I stayed in there for quite a while before getting out and undoing the concealment charm on my scars as I got ready for my father.
I walked out of the school, careful not to be seen by anyone, and made my way beyond the apparition barrier. Taking cover behind some trees I appareted to the place I'm suppose to call home.
It was quiet and dark like usual as I made my way along the gravel to the front door. The big wooden door opening on command as I approached only to be meet by the tiny house elf whose name I can't even remember. She avoided eye contact as she spoke, "Your father would like for you to await his arrival in your sleeping quarters like usual. You will also find a letter from your mother there as she was forced to leave for business matters".
Ignoring the elf I made my way up to my bedroom trying my best to prepare for the events that was about to take place. My room was exactly like I had left it and the letter from my mom were laying on my pillow. I walked over grabbing the small envelope before ripping it open and reading.
Dear son,
I'm sorry for not being there to properly wish you a happy birthday. Either way I hope you have a great day and that your father woke up on a more gentle side today.
With love from you mother.
Every year it was the same, business trip here and business trip there. She was never actually on a business trip, she just couldn't stand being here when here son got tortured. She use to help me clean my wound when I was a child, at least until my father found out and started locking me in my room so that she couldn't help. She might not be the most loving mother but she does try sometimes, and she has been one hell of a lot better than my father.
I threw the letter in the fire knowing that if my fathers read it the punishment for showing care for her son wouldn't be gentle. As I watched the letter burn in the fire I heard the echoing of footsteps approaching and the chills spread across my body.
The door flew open as my father entered, a sadistic smile on his lips and his wand in hand.
"Son" his monotone voice said as he closed the door.
"Father" I responded in the same tone of voice.
He stepped out in to the middle of the room motioning for me to step forward. I did as told and he stepped up so that I was standing face to face with my him. "Go on" was all he said as he waited for me to get in position.
With a reluctant breath I unbuttoned my shirt trowing it to the side before getting down on my knees. He circled me, inspecting the old scars and contemplating on where to put the next one. As he come back around he stopped infront of me tipping my head up with the tip of his wand. "Any news of the Lenox girl?" it was the last thing I expected him to ask right know and it took me a moment to answer as I processes the question and remembered the task he had given me.
"No, nothing. She's like any other girl at that ridiculous school". He seemed discontent with my answer as he did another circle around me. He eventually stopped as I felt the sharp tip of his wand press against my left shoulder blade, "Well then, Happy birthday boy" and with those word he pressed the tip of his wand deep in to my flesh and began to slowly cut another x.
The flashing pain was felt in my entire body as he cut and ones he began on the second line stars were staring to form behind my eyelids. I was good with pain, I had become use to it, but this, these fucking scars hurt like a mother fucker each and every time. A small wave of relief washed over me as the wand finally left my skin and my fathers footsteps could be heard leaving the room.
