Borrowed time; Mattheo Riddle

Chapter 51

Mattheos pov

I rounded the last corner to my dorm feeling fucking exhausted after todays meeting. It lasted about 4 hours in which my father went on and on about the plans and how we all would meet an end worse then death if we failed our parts. 

I was hoping Bella would be waiting in my bed but instead all I saw was an envelope neatly placed on my pillow. My fathers letter always appeared on the desk meaning this wasn't from him. I opened it reading the short message, Find us were your secret hides..

What the hell? There was no name indicating who left it but I instantly knew what secret they meant. I left my dorm heading for the room of requirement when I noticed the boy gathered in the common room all holding a letter of their own. 

"I'm guessing your's says the same as ours?" Zabini asked as I walked over. 

"Yeah. Anybody know who sent them?" I looked around the group as they all shook their heads no. "Well let's go find out then". 

We headed up to the room of requirement keeping an eye out for anybody who locked suspicious. Ones inside we drew our wands and carefully moved along the path to the cabinet. I lifted my hand motioning for the boys to stop behind me as I peered around the last corner. Only problem being there was nobody there. 

I looked back at the boys confused before rounding the corner hearing them follow behind. "Maybe this wasn't the secret the letter meant?" Enzo said looking around the area. 

"Oh so you have more secrets? Do tell Berkshire" I knew the voice all to well as I turned around seeing Pansy walk out from behind a shelf. 

"Babe, this is not what it seems-" Draco began before Pansy cut him off. 

"Oh please stop fucking lying. You're death eaters and you're fixing this fucking thing so daddy no-nose can attack the school and kill mister scar-head"

"How long have you known?" I asked her.

"Long enough to give you the chance to tell me yourself" the hurt in her voice was like a knife to the heart as I turned left seeing Bella walk out from the shadows. 

"But if you both know..." Theo's mind seemed to be working overtime as he looked between the two, "Please tell me she doesn't know, she can't know". 

"And why's that Theo?" Daphne appeared from our right, "You don't think my fragile heart can handle it?" 

They surrounded us and while I was kind of impressed I was also pissed. "How did you find out?" I asked looking at Bella. 

"Uh uh uh, we're the one's asking the questions tonight baby" she walked past me and took a seat in the couch as the other girls joined her. "Now how about you boys tell us what you were really doing this afternoon?" 

"We were at a death eater meeting"  Theo answered before I had the chance to shut him up. 

"Dude, shut up" Zabini interfered. 

"Why, they're already know. Whats the point?" He clapped back. 

The girls looked amused as they watched the boys brawl. 

"Shut up, both of you" I casted them both a glare before walking closer to the girls. I didn't know Daphne that well but I definitely knew Pansy and Bella and they were two stubborn fucking girls. "What do you want to know?". 

They looked a bit shocked but went on with there questions none the less. 

"How long?" Pansy asked looking hurt. I knew she would be, we all knew, we lied to her for quite some time now.
