After we had picked up Daphnes book I headed back to my dorm for a shower before we would meet up at theirs to get ready. Entering my dorm I noticed Mattheo sitting by my desk with flowers.
"Hi" I said closing the door. "I thought you guys were prepping for the party?"
"We are, I just wanted to stop by and hand you these" he got up and gave me the bouquet of flowers. They were beautiful but I didn't understand why he got me them.
"Thank you"
"I'm sorry if I have been a bit distant lately. I have had a lot to do" he stepped closer cupping my face and I immediately melted in to his touch.
"It's alright. What have you been doing?" I didn't expect and answer but it never hurt to try.
"You look tired baby, wanna take a nap before the party?" the deflecting bastard asked.
"No I'm good, I just need a shower and some food and I'll be fine" I responded giving him a kiss before putting the flowers in one of my vases.
After my shower I touched up the roots of my blond hairpiece. I had been thinking about dying it back to brown but never really did it, I guess I've grown quite fond of this new version of me. As I went back in my room to get dressed I found that a plate of warm food was waiting on my desk by the flowers. It's impossible to even try and be mad at him when everything he does gives me butterflies.
I headed for Pansy and Daphnes dorm one's I had eaten my food and picked out an outfit. They were in the middle of doing their makeup and I sat down beside them joining in. We were almost done when Daphne had a change of heart, "Is this a dumb idea? I mean we have classes tomorrow and..."
"Shhhhhh" Pansy covered her mouth stopping her rambling. "It's gonna be fine, just don't drink to much. Besides you were the one who agreed, for all of us, so no backsies"
I did the last curl on my hair when we heard the music starting to play in the common room. Pansy was putting on her dress whining over the fact that the boys gave her so little time to prepare an outfit. She kept it dramatic as always while me and Daphne opted for something a bit more casual this time.
