Bella Lenox is living on borrowed time thanks to a deadly curse. Her godfather Severus Snape encourages her to make the most of the time she as left and enrolled her to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry hoping she can make some friends and...
The rest finished eating before me and Bella. Telling them we were fine on our own they eventually left to get some more sleep in. As Bella ate one of her last strawberries I slipped the note from my pocket and handed it over to her. She looked at it confused before grabbing it and giving me a suspicious look, "What's this?".
"Open it". As she unfolded the note and began reading, a childish smile spread on her lips and she looked up at me with her glimmering green eyes before taking the pen from my hand.

She handed me back the note on which she had now drawn a heart around the YES.
"Well I guess that's it, you officially stuck with me forever love" I said folding the note back in my pocket. "Gladly" she responded. Although her eyes were filled with something other than just happiness, it was the same look that she had during breakfast when the others talked about the summer plans, sadness.
"You okay?" I grabbed her hand over the table. She squeezed it gently while nodding her head.
Something was bothering her and it was bothering me even more that she was hiding it from me.

The next day every annoying child that attended this school returned, putting an end to my peace of mind. Classes will start tomorrow when everybody have had the time to settle in.
Bella is passed out on my bed, she's in one of my t shirts and the sight of her bare legs makes me wanna crawl back in bed and place myself between them. But I knew she needed the rest, we had been at it all night and I don't know if her body could handle much more.
Just after she had fallen asleep a letter had appeared on my desk, my father wanted to meet me. I got dressed as quietly as possible and left hoping she would stay out for another few hours. The halls were swarming with student ones again, making it easier to sneak out of the grounds and apparate home.
The house was quiet as I walked the hall down to my fathers office. The door was slightly agar and I quietly pushed it open to see my father at his desk. His snake like eyes meet mine and he gestured for me to take a seat. "I heard the Malfoy kid and your other... friends... came back to Hogwarts early this year" he leaned back in his chair as he spoke, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Yes, they did" I answered.
"Well I hope he took the opportunity to work on the cabinet then?!" he lifted one of his none existing eyebrows probably already knowing the answer.
"No, at least not that I'm aware of" there was no point lying to him, he always found out. And to be fare it would have been a prime opportunity for Draco to work on it.
"Well.. I hope he's aware of the deadline. If not I will make sure to remind him" I knew without a doubt that my father meant he would kill him of not done in time, doesn't matter that he's my cousin, fail and your punished, that's how it works.
"He will have it done, I'll make sure of it"
"Good, good" he took a pause looking at the papers on his desk. "And how's you task coming along, dear boy?"
My heart rate spiked but I didn't let it show, emotions are weakness as he says. "I haven't found anything interesting about her yet, she's like every other girl"
"Mhm, Is that why you have chosen to date this girl?" he looked up from his papers, his lifeless eyes staring in to my soul searching for the smallest reaction.
"Well you asked me to keep and eye on her and find out if she's hiding something, what better way to do so then to make her fall for me?" I carelessly shrugged and leaned back in my seat. I have been under his stare for enough years to not let it bother me.
He keeps quiet for a few second, I know he hates the fact that he can't use legilimency on me to see if I'm lying or not, but that would be his own greedy fault sense he over used it on me as a child. He never told me how to block it, enjoying to get inside my head, but when I turned 11 I stumbled upon a book about it at Hogwarts and although it took me almost a year I finally learned it. He was furious when he found out but deep down I saw that a small part of his black heart was proud. Ones my father had calm down he realized it probably was for the best, I mean nobody could get in to my head and find shit out about him. After a few moth of asking he finally agreed to teach me how to use legilimency and it has come in handy. The more important information I found with it the more he would teach me. By the age of 16 I could get inside someones head without them even knowing I was there.
"I'm guessing legilimency still doesn't work on her?"
"No, it's like a fucking brick wall every time" I'm not gonna lie, I did try and get inside her head a few times when I first met her but for some reason I can't seem to do it. It not a regular blockade that she puts up, it something different. I don't even think she's aware she does it.
"Shame"
After talking about some upcoming plans and meetings he had planned he dismissed me.
When I got back to the school grounds rain had started pouring and by the time I had made it in to the actual school I was drenched. I left wet footprints behind as I walked down to the dungeons and just as I was about to walk trough the portrait somebody stoped me.
"Mr Riddle" Snap was standing further down the corridor.
"Professor?" I did actually want to speak to him just maybe not when I was fucking dripping wet.
"Out for a morning stroll where you?" with slow steps he walked closer.
I would love to tell him to mind his own fucking business but I don't think Bella would appreciate that, "I was, but I think it might rain later so if you're leaving you might want to bring an umbrella".
He clearly wasn't amused by my joke. "Well, does he have any news?" Snape asked. He was a death eater and has been for years but after Mr and Mrs Lenox death he changed. I don't trust him anymore and neither does my father, "If there is something you need to know he will inform you" I held his stare for a few seconds before backing away towards the portrait. "Now if you wouldn't mind I'm in need of a change, don't want to get sick right when school start again, right professor"
He turned around ready to walk away, "Oh and you might want to make a few more of those headache potions for Bella" he came to an abrupt halt as I spoke. "Her stash seemed to be a little low and we don't want her walking around with a headache do we?".
He spun around, his eyes franticly searched mine trying to figure out what I knew. Only more confirmation that those potions aren't what she said they were. I know something up and I'm gonna need to figure it out before my father does, otherwise I won't be able to protect her.
"I will, thank you" was all he said before he speed walked down to his office.
When I entered my dorm Bella was still sound asleep so I walked in the bathroom removing my wet clothes and jumped in the shower to warm up.
When I got out and reentered the bedroom Bella was awake. "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you" I said walking over to kiss her head.
"It's fine, just come back" she stretched out her arms grabbing for me like a toddler wanting to be carried. Laughing at her cuteness I untucked my towel and slid back in to bed. She had been sleeping without the cover but even after my shower I wasn't warm enough to do that so I pulled it over us. She cuddled in to me, her touch reliving any stress that had previously appeared from the meeting with my father.
She soon drifted back off to sleep. I laid awake a little longer studying every details of her face, my god, if love is weakness then Bella Lenox has officially made me the weakest man alive.
