Chapter 7 - Fling?

Elix's POV:

Habang nasa byahe kami ni Rielle patungo sa opisina, ramdam na ramdam ko ang tensyon sa aming dalawa. Pero tahimik lang siyang nagda drive habang nakatingin naman ako sa labas ng bintana. It's the day of the board meeting, unang beses to na mangyayari sa Sinclair's since Lexa doesn't want to be known as the CEO. She wanted to stay as low profile but now I decided to reveal our identity to be transparent to all the employees. I think that's the right thing to do.

When we arrived, marami sa mga empleyado ang nakatingin sa aming dalawa na papasok. They were surprised, except for the guards. Sila lang kasi ang nakakaalam ng totoo. Kitang kita ang pagkagulat ng bawat isa sa room at nag palipat lipat din sila ng tingin sa aming dalawa ni Rielle. Kaya medyo lalo bumigat ang tensyon sa pagitan naming dalawa.

The room filled into a mixture of astonishment, applause, and questions, but the awkwardness between Rielle and me hung in the air, making the situation even more complicated.

As the room processed this revelation, I couldn't help but exchange another uneasy look with Rielle. We knew that our relationship was not what it seemed, and as the meeting continued, the tension between us grew, casting a shadow over the significant moment we had orchestrated together.

Nagtagal pa ang meeting na iyon ng mga isa at kalahating oras dahil marami ring nai discuss about business matters. I noticed Rielle gave a lot of things that they should focus on. I can't help but to be proud dahil alam na alam niya ang pasikot sikot ng kompanya. Wala rin akong naging problema sa kung anong maaaring sabihin ng iba dahil base sa mga mukha nila ay halos lahat uma-agree sa mga binibigay nitong points para sa mga dapat pang idevelop at imaintain.

Ngumiti ito pero bakas sa ngiti nito ang pagtataka. "Uhm, never mind ma'am. Maybe because it's been a while kaya di mo na ako maalala. Anyway, it's nice to finally meet our CEO in this company."

I just nodded, nginitian ko naman siya. "Maybe, my memory is failing me at the moment. Could you remind me where we met before?"

Napangiti naman ulit ito at waring napapaisip ng isasagot nito. Ngunit bago pa man ito makapagsalita at bumukas ang pinto, it was Rielle. "Excuse me, wife, we have another appointment." at nakita ko pa ang mata nitong matamang tinitigan ang kausap ko. I don't understand, there's something between them or between him and Lexa.

"Ok, I'll keep that in mind. By the way, do you want to go out for dinner?" tanong ko dito. I just thought that it's time to take advantage of her mood. Ito na yata yung matino naming usap, at mahaba rin ang mga nasabi niya kaya I hope it works for me na mapapayag siya.

"Nope, I'm sorry." 'Ugh, again'

"U-uhm, o-ok." bagsak na naman ang balikat ko nang hindi ito pumayag. Just be it.

And there, I was caught off guard. How dare she ask me that? Damn! And I don't understand why I'm hurting. Lumapit ito sa akin at inilapit pa ang mukha niya sa mukha ko. Hinalikan pa ko nito sa labi, it was just a peck at tsaka ito ngumiti. "Thanks wife!" pagkasabi non ay tumalikod na ito at dumiretcho sa paglabas ng pinto.
