The day came and went. The prince's and the king's wedding ceremony was now over. Everyone who came to attend the wedding either stayed in the guest quarters or left for their respective homes.
Taehyung was emotionally conflicted, he never in his wildest dreams would have imagined getting married to his childhood friend, but here he is --Husband of the mighty king of Alvania. His country, Eucon was in ruins after the Kingdom of Dernia attacked them, the people were devasted, there was no proper harvest this year, the agro-based economy of the country was buried deep in the grounds, and people were dying from hunger and cold. So he had no other option but to accept the proposition put forward by Alvania. A marriage treaty, to marry the king and in return, Eucon will be provided monetary aid to rebuild the kingdom. It was a good deal, so he murdered his feelings and immediately agreed to marry the king. He was the youngest in the royal family of Eucon his cousin, Kim Seokjin is the king of Eucon, so when he left Eucon for the rest of his life he knew that the country and its people were in safe hands and would soon reclaim its lost glory.
Taehyung was relieved and scared at the same time. Relieved for his country and scared for himself.
He knew, that he, by his own will had pushed himself in a loveless marriage. He knows that Jungkook does not love him. He knows that Jungkook was not supposed to marry him today rather he was supposed to marry a commoner or should he say Jungkook's lover. He knows that Jungkook had a lover, that the king was getting married to, heck everyone In the world knew that Jungkook was going to get married to his lover. But just three days ago, the lover was no longer in Alvania, he just vanished as if he never existed.
He doesn't know why all of a sudden he was the Groom and not Jungkook's lover.
Why didn't Jungkook try to find his lover?
Why did Jungkook get married to Taehyung?
Why didn't Jungkook cancel the marriage?
All these questions were bothering Taehyung so much, that he didn't notice that he reached the king's chamber at the far end of the hallway and with as clumsy as he is, he ends up colliding with the big heavy doors of the chamber. Taehyung hisses and rubs his injured head.
He was directed here by a guard, in the personal residence of Jungkook, in this part of the Palace Jungkook lived.
Taehyung slowly opens the wooden door and enters the room, roaming his eyes through the room he observes his surrounding, the sheer red curtains and beautiful lanterns hanging through the ceiling and the walls, really makes the chamber look romantic and majestic. Because of the mahagony interior of the room, the room seem even more darker in the night, making the huge room look cozy and warm.
The bed although relatively smaller than back at his palace looks comfortable enough for two people. He also loves that the bed is covered by a canopy, giving the chamber an extra level of privacy
