Day 9 of 14
Jungkook, and other two blue roaring knights Jeon wonwoo and Kim mingyu, have been traveling for around 27 hours on their respective horses to reach Quire. Normally it takes just around 16 hours to reach Quire from Capital city but as they are taking a secret route through the forest it is taking longer than usual.
"The borders are close and I can see some army men from here" Wonwoo says, making the other two stop in their tracks.
"We should leave the horses here, your highness it's time to start the plan." Mingyu whispers.
"Take out the henbane" the king orders putting on his mask and gloves, covering his entire body to protect himself from the stunt they are about to pull. Mingyu and Wonwoo do the same.
(Henbane - a poisonous flower that leads to coma if taken in large doses)
Mingyu takes out a medium sized pouch from his backpack and starts climbing a tree nearby, climbing slowly and steadily from one tree to another, he makes sure he is just above the army men before, releasing the henbane powder, making it mix with the air and letting it work it's magic. The same action gets repeated by him for atleast three times making sure he covers every army men, patrolling the ground.
The henbane they are using is mixed with other herbs that dilutes it and makes it just capable of provoking hallucinations or unconsciousness.
All three of them wait for the herb to take effect, seeing the soldiers staggering and falling one by one on the ground motionless. When they would wake they wouldn't have a clue about what happened to them.
They immediately resume their mission, bypassing the borders successfully on their horses.
First step, executed successfully.
Now they just have to play spy and gather as much information before making a decision about how much of the army is needed to be reformed.
Day 10 of 14
Jungkook has disguised himself as a cleaner in a temple, mingyu as a toy vendor outside the temple and Wonwoo as an receptionist in one of the newly opened stay near the temple. So far they haven't gathered any information.
Just as Hoseok said, the people have no clue about a mutiny going on. The shops are functioning normally, there is no violence and the people look safe and sound.
However Jungkook is concerned about the water crisis in the state. The water crisis began because of Dernia refusing to share it's water resources.
But to solve this problem a huge budget was allocated to Quire to dig up wells.
But the corruption of the terminated governor was very evident as there was no progress what so ever.
Jungkook looks around the temple, he chose this temple as it was in the middle of the state and a lot of people visited it on a regular basis. His main motive was to talk to people and see if there was anything he was missing.
It was evening and he has just put his broom down after cleaning the stairs of the temple, he was about to enter the temple when he hears a women shouting, he immediately turns around, and tries to find the source of distress.
He walks further into the main market near the stay where Wonwoo works, he sees a crowd forming around.
He tries to see what's happening, pushing around his way to stand in the front.
"Let me go.. let me go..."
He sees a woman trying to free her hair from a man almost double her size, writhing around in pain, tears falling down her eyes nonstop.
Jungkook seethes in anger, seeing the scene in front of him, and his blood pressure rises.
" Let her go this instant"
Jungkook hears Wonwoo's voice loud and clear.
The man looks stunned at Wonwoo but soon his face contracts into a disgusting smirk.
"I said let her go" Wonwoo says again.
Jungkook is disappointed at Wonwoo's recklessness, one mistake and their cover would blow up.
" Look here comes a knight in shining Armor to save his damsel in distress"the man snarls pulling the woman's hair more harshly making her sherik.
"I said let her go"
"You look new to this place, I am warning you young man don't meddle in with my business" the man warns.
" I will not repeat myself again"
" I am sorry mister, my friend is new to this place he isn't familiar with Quire's rules, please forgive him and continue with your rendezvous"
A man around the same age as Jungkook pulls Wonwoo aside, Wonwoo protests at first but as soon as his eyes meet Jungkook's cold ones he let's himself be pulled.
"Then make him familiar or it wouldn't be long before he dies, like this" the man snarls.
"Are you out of your mind, what were you thinking before doing that, do you want to end up like that woman" the man who pulled aside Wonwoo , whispers lowly, cornering him in a nearby alleyway.
Wonwoo jerks his hands away from his grasp.
"Shut up" Wonwoo snarls rudely.
The man looks stunned at him and laughs mockingly at himself.
"Why do I have to save someone as stupid as you, honestly should have left you to get beaten into a pulp and on radar of literally every soldier stationed here" he says
"What do you mean on radar of every soldier?"
The man scoffs at Wonwoo and starts walking away from him, away from the main Market.
Wonwoo follows him, he might have just landed himself a piece of information and in no way is he letting it go.
"Wait, mister, I am sorry, I was just a little shook up from the whole ordeal, listen to me please" Wonwoo says walking alongside him.
" Oh now you want me to listen, ok go on I am generous enough as you can see" the man says stopping abruptly, folding his hands.
" I am sorry, I am new to this place and that woman reminded me of my- of my sick old mother, I got agitated and acted without a thought" Wonwoo says morphing his face into a that of a kicked puppy.
"Oh, I am really sorry, it's fine young man you're fine now, but don't pull these kind of stunts again, you may land yourself in some serious trouble" the man says ruffling his hair.
" As you can tell, I am indeed new to this place and my two friends also, we just came here 4 days ago and have no place to sleep tonight. We ran out of money, do you have any place for us to spend a night or two" Wonwoo says, his instict tells him this man even tough a commoner can brief them on why an army men owns a brothel, why was he assaulting a woman in the middle of day, why no one interrupted him and why would he be put on radar of every soldier if he saved that lady.
"Oh heavens , what a tragedy, I do have an empty horse stable that can be occupied, if you guys are ok with that, i can make it quite livable" he offers.
"That's great, we can be back after dawn, what's your name mister" Wonwoo asks.
" Choi Soobin" the man replies grinning his dimples on display...

That's not a very interesting chapter.
But these kind of chapters are important to build up the plot.
