So here is a rant.
So today I read a story where an author was portraying infidelity.
It was Jikook story and Jungkook was married but he cheated on his wife with Jimin. And I was just reading the story at first going with the flow but as I kept going on and on, reading some comments, etc.. I found it absolutely disgusting and immature to be honest.
Like as soon as Jungkook's wife got introduced, everyone in the comments was abusing the character. She showed her obvious anger and sadness over being cheated and called Jimin a Slut and people started calling her a bad character.
Like it baffles me how easily some people in the fanfic community justify infidelity and even enjoy it if it's done by the main characters of the story just because they eventually end up with each other.
There is no way that infidelity should be justified.
These people are straight up hypocrites if they enjoy infidelity just so the main characters could end up together, and hate when the main characters cheat on each other.
I hate these kind of stories as well people who love these stories.
And let's not forget about the obvious problem of glorifying rape and abuse culture in Wattpad writing community.
Many sensible authors have raised there voice against stories promoting rape, abuse and infidelity but still a large number of books on this platform are still promoting directly or indirectly these objectionable concepts in the name of creative freedom.
I have seen many authors who put up warning tags and justify these concepts and when readers like us raise our voices they pull up typical line" i warned you in tags". So for all these kinds of readers let me just say that, If a murder confesses to his crime it doesn't make his crime legal.
I know I am a very very very small author in this huge community of Wattpad but even so if only one person is able to change there view because of this I would be grateful and happy.
And yeah if anyone does not agree with my view they can fell free to have a healthy discourse with me..
