4 : Elliott

Elliott's POV

My date with Sterling went well. It actually went more than well. It was probably one of the best dates. I think. Considering it was my first date ever, I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I do know that it went great for the plan.

"How did it go?" my father asks as soon as I am in his office.

"Went well father. Everything went according to plan"

"Perfect" he smiles with content. "If things keep going good maybe we will be ahead of schedule" I nod in agreement. I don't tell my father all the details but I do discuss some information I learned.

"It's getting late. Head to bed. You have a big day tomorrow" he dismisses me.

I am not surprised that my father has no other words for me. My entire life he has been this way. Very cold and strict. I am use to it by now, but at times I wish my father would show some emotion for me other than disappointment. Never pleased or proud of what I do. No matter how successful I am, it is never enough for him. This time I will make him proud enough to realize the value I bring to the family.

I sometimes really wish I had a regular childhood like others. That me and my father would spend time with each other doing fun activities. Learning how to play catch, teaching me how to ride a bike, being there at my graduation. And I would have had that if it weren't for the Kanes. They ruined my family's life and I am going to make them pay for it.

I didn't learn too much personal information about Sterling and her family, but I did learn more than we first knew. I also got a second date meaning more time to get her to trust me. Get her to share more.

Although I went into the date with some anger I made sure to stay focused. I could not risk messing things up. What took me by surprise is that multiple times I was getting too into the conversation. I was enjoying learning more about her, not because of the plan, but because I liked hearing about it.

The second that she kissed me was the most surprising moment of the night. I didn't plan for or expect to kiss her tonight. And when I felt her lips on mine I fell into a trance, I could not pull away from her. Her lips felt like an addiction. When she pulled away I stuttered like an idiot. I don't know how she did it or why my body had that reaction, but I will not let this derail the plan. Next time I will not let it get to me. I will destroy her and her family at whatever cost.

Monday morning, first day on the job. It is a very important day. We have been working on this for years. Took me years of studying and becoming advanced in computer science and engineering. Working with many of my father's friends to become great. Along with weeks of the interview process leading to today. The day that I will finally infiltrate Novak Technologies.

Infiltrating Vanderbilt Enterprises or Stark Securities felt too obvious. By infiltrating Novak Technologies instead we figured it will give us an advantage of being in a more hidden space. All three companies work closely together giving us the opportunity to not only cause a downfall for one but for all.

As I walk into the secure office building I head to my office. I was able to get a position as a lead for their weaponry innovations. The sector that creates advanced weaponry that Stark Securities uses, the ones that Drew Kane's company uses.

"Good morning Ms. Kosto" Ms. Novak greets as I settle into my office. "Just wanted to stop by and say hello on your first day"

"Thank you Ms. Novak. I'm excited to be here. And you can just call me Elliott" I smile back.
