Sterling's POV
Finally I get to go home. Being in the hospital for a week sucks. The beds are alright but the food is absolutely disgusting. If it weren't for Elliott getting me all my favorite food I would have either starved or puked every meal.
Although I am able to go home now I am on bed rest. Both under the doctors and my parents orders. My ribs are going to take some time to fully heal. My fractured wrist is also going to take some time but the cast will help with the recovery. Everything else should not take long to fully heal. Staying home all day is not going to be fun but I'm sure it will be way better than the hospital room.
"Brooks I swear if you drop your sister-"
"I won't. I promise"
"Fine. But be careful" my ma hands me over to Brooks. She really wants to be the one that helps me up to my room. All my siblings have been very attached to me since the attack. We are close but this is another level of closeness. I think they are scared that if I am left alone something will happen.
"Aw fuck!" I groan loudly.
"What?! What?!" Brooks stops and my moms come running.
"Nothing. I was just messing with you" I laugh but they all look angry.
"That's not funny KJ!" Brooks shouts angrily.
"Come on, you all are so tense. Relax a little"
"Do that again and I will drop you" Brooks replies.
"No you won't" I smile at her.
"Fine I won't, but I will be mad. Now come on" we continue to walk up the stairs to my room.
We finally get to my room and Brooks helps me get on my bed. Kade and Stellan brought everything that I would need or want. My night stand has a basket of snacks and drinks. There are some extra blankets and pillows on my bed.
For the rest of the day I am to stay in bed and if I need to get up then I have to call someone in. I think having my siblings at my beckon call would be pretty funny but in this situation it sucks. I feel like a baby that can't do anything on their own.
Luckily for me I enjoy my siblings' company. The first couple of hours me and Kade played video games. Then Brooks came in and we started talking. She talked to me about her and Blake after me begging to know for about five minutes.
Stellan brought up my dinner and ate with me. We watched one of our favorite movies. When the movie ended I was really tired so I decided to go to sleep. The only problem is that although I am tired I can't seem to actually fall asleep.
An hour passes and I still can't fully fall asleep. I can't fall asleep because I don't have Elliott. Before my attack I had slept over Elliott's every night for weeks. I got use to falling asleep in her arms. During my week in the hospital I got sleep because she slept with me. She was scared that she would hurt me but I told her I needed her to fall asleep and she held me every night.
Ugh no I can't do this all night. I grab my phone and scroll to my contacts.
"Sterling everything okay? Are you okay?" Elliott answered my call immediately. By the sound of her voice she was asleep and I woke her up.
"Yeah I'm okay. But I can't sleep"
"I don't think your parents will be okay with me sleeping over"
"Better to ask for forgiveness than for permission" I semi joke.
"Sterling I don't know-"
"Elliott please. I need you"
"I'll head over right now"
