Sterling's POV

*ten years later* (five years after epilogue 1)

Never did I think that my life would be what it is right now. I knew that I wanted to get married and to have children, but the way I got there was never once a thought. It has been a crazy journey, but I don't think I would trade it for anything.

Ten years married to Elliott and it still feels like the first moments we started dating. With three children our days became hectic. However we both still made each other a priority. Still dating each other now matter how long we have been married.

Noah is now eleven and more scary than ever before. Since the day that Noah could walk on her own we knew that she was going to make us work. From the stories that I have been told about my mom Drew I am not surprised that Noah is her grandchild. She is equally as confident and daring. This kid is not scared of most things that eleven year olds should be scared of. She loves heights, climbing, zip-lining, you name something dangerous or filled with adrenaline and Noah will do it. It does not help that my ma encourages it. It makes them the closest and I know that my ma would never put Noah in harm's way but I am still her mom so of course I will always worry.

My second baby, Tobin Cameron Vanderbilt-Kane, looks up to his big sister so much. From day one Noah has been there. She loves her brother so much. The first few nights of when we transitioned him into his own room Noah would sneak into his room to sleep by his bedside. She thought she was being sneaky but every morning we woke before she did. It was very adorable. However now that he is five and able to understand things more it is not great that he follows his big sister blindly. Luckily for us Noah will never do something that we would not approve of because if she were to choose to jump off the roof into the pool Tobin would follow with no hesitation.

My youngest, Nina Rowan Vanderbilt-Kane, however is the calmest of them all. She is now three and very adorable. Noah and Tobin protect her all the time. This little girl has both her older siblings wrapped around her little finger. It is quite funny to see her control them when she is only three. Also a bit scary that she has that much power.

After having Nina, me and Elliott decided that three was all we needed. We had the perfect family. Not having to go through birth again was also one of the big reasons we decided that we were done at three.

Stellan and Timothy had a beautiful baby boy, Griffin Pierce Vanderbilt-Campbell. He was born a month before Tobin. They are best friends. Stellan and Timothy are expecting their second baby this coming month. I am excited to have another niece or nephew. I now understand the love that my siblings had for my children. I love all my siblings so much, but the love for a niece or nephew is something else.

Kade and his girlfriend or should I say fiancé are both excited for their wedding this summer. The entire family is going to be there. He is marrying his high school sweetheart who I know he has loved since he was a freshman in high school. They made it through the long distance and through all our family problems. We all love her and I can't wait till she is my sister-in-law.

As for Brooks, she and Blake are still together. Brooks has wanted to propose to Blake for a year now, but gets too nervous to ask her. She wants the proposal to be perfect. I just think that she is too scared to ask. Hopefully she asks soon since they have been dating for years and we all want Blake to be part of the family. She already is considered part, especially after everything, but we want it to be official.

All of the Vanderbilt-Kane children are now working at one of the family businesses. I am with my mom Blair and brother Kade at Vanderbilt Enterprises. Stellan is with aunt Presley at Novak Technologies. And Brooks is with ma at Stark Securities. Most of the cousins are also at these three companies. At this point the only ones that aren't working at one of these companies are the children who aren't old enough to work yet. We took family business to a whole other level.

My thoughts get interrupted when I hear the backdoor open quickly and some groans as I sit in my home office. I walk out to see Noah leaning over the kitchen sink with blood running down her face and my ma helping her.

"Noah!" I run over. "What happened?" I ask frantically.

"It's okay mom just a bloody nose" Noah smiles but stops as the blood falls into her mouth.

"There was a minor accident while training"

"Minor?! Ma she is bleeding"

"I promise I'm fine mom. It was my fault anyways. I was suppose to go right and went left instead"

"Did you punch your granddaughter in the face?" I ask my ma.

"Just a little" she answers. "But like she said it was her fault" I shake my head. I walk over to get a towel and ice pack. When we got the bleeding to stop I put the ice pack on Noah's face.

"Noah you have to pay attention during training" I scold my daughter.

"I know. I'm sorry mom" she smiles. "But I'm sure you had some accidents when you trained"

I did. We all did. Getting hurt was part of the training. There were plenty of bloody noses, bandages, cuts, bruises, etc. But the difference was we were getting them from each other, not my ma.

I am a bit impressed that Noah took a punch from my ma and seemed fine. My ma is a badass. I know that she is older now but she still has a lot of fight in her. When they first started training I was a bit worried what mother wouldn't be, but I know that Noah is in the best hands. Noah also begged and begged to train. And when I mean begged, I mean she was asking me and Elliott every single day for months. She also made a powerpoint about why she should be allowed to start training. What eleven year old does that? Answer, mine.

Me and Elliott have known since Noah was little that she was going to be different. Her eyes would light up at action movies or at the stories of when her grandma was a spy. She loved anything with thrill. Whenever her uncle Killian and aunt Callan would come visit she would sit with them for hours to hear more stories. They were the only aunt and uncle that told the stories as if she was a little kid. They did not leave out details. It is no surprise that Noah says she wants to be a spy like her grandma. Right now she is just starting but in the future she might actually become one.

"Yes there was but from me and my siblings. Taking a hit from grandma is tough. I am glad you are okay, but just remember that this is serious. If you want to continue this training you have to be focused"

"I will. I promise" she gives me a smile. "I want to be able to protect all of us, just like grandma did" she turns to my ma. Their bond is a special one.

"You will one day I know it" my ma smiles softly at her.

First I am born into a complicated family with both spies and criminals, then get married to someone whose family hated us and kidnapped us, and now I have a daughter who wants to be a spy. My life is basically a movie. Hopefully the franchise is good because if my life right now is the sequel then I can only imagine what the next to come will be like.
