25 : My Heart

Elliott's POV

I never thought that I would become a mom. I didn't think that I would have someone to start a family with. I am really happy that I get to have one with Sterling. Things have become better each day with Sterling. I will forever be grateful that they were all willing to give me a second chance.

Sitting here holding our beautiful baby girl in my arms as Sterling sleeps makes it hard to not smile. I am overjoyed with my life right now. Living in darkness for so many years makes it hard to believe that there will ever be any light. Right now I don't just live in the light but it shines extremely bright. It fills my body with warmth.

"I promise to always protect you. I will always love you for who you are, unconditionally. I can't wait to grow with you" I kiss my daughter's little nose. I know that she can't understand me, but I want her to know that no matter what she will be loved. I won't let her think she is not good enough by just being herself.

She will know love and family.

"Welcome home little one" Drew whispers to Noah as we walk in. She was the first one at the car when we pulled into the driveway. We all were excited to be home. I was excited to show Noah where she would find all her happiness. With her family.

"Are you both hungry?" Blair asks.

"I'm too tired to eat" Sterling replies.

"Why don't you both get some rest? Me and your mom will take care of Noah"

"Thanks mom" Sterling hugs her mom before heading upstairs. I follow behind hesitantly. I have no doubt that Noah is in great hands, but whenever I don't see her a fear creeps up on me.

"I need to shower. I smell like a hospital and baby puke" Sterling says as we walk into her room. She starts to undress in front of me. One by one I watch as a piece of clothing falls. I freeze for a second and Sterling catches me staring before I turn away.

"S-Sorry"

"Elliott it's not like you have never seen me naked before. We literally just had a baby"

"Do you not find me attractive anymore?" she walks closer to me.

My head immediately turns to her. "Sterling it's not that. I find you very attractive. Don't ever think that I don't. I was just surprised. I didn't know if I was allowed to look"

"Come with me" she holds my hand as she starts to walk back into the bathroom. My eyes are only focused on hers. On her hands. I miss the feel of her touch.

"W-what are we doing?"

"You need a shower just as badly as I do" she starts to slowly lift my shirt. Her fingers graze my skin causing goosebumps. The slightest touch of her fingers on my skin creates a major reaction to my body.

I don't know what it is but I feel as if I can't move. I can only stare into her eyes while she keeps removing my clothes. She turns the water on, letting it warm up for a bit before guiding us in. She walks under the water, letting it soak her body. I watch in awe at her beauty. As she turns back around I am caught once more stare at her.

"Are you just going to stare?" Sterling smiles softly. I swallow the lump in my throat. She pulls my arms making our bodies meet. She takes a few steps back causing me to stand under the water.

After our shower we get dressed. I'm glad it was cold because I was already struggling to keep my cool. We both put on sweats and a t-shirt. Sterling goes to her bed and I go to the couch otherwise known as my bed.
