18 : Black Eyes

Sterling's POV

Knowing that Elliott is just down the street is both great and terrible. I am very tempted to leave work and go see her everyday. We spend basically all of our free time together so it is good that we have work to give us separate time, but I just want to be with her. All the time.

I want to be around her. To hold her. To touch her. To kiss her. Ugh being in love is sometimes very annoying. I need to get back to my work and focus.

"KJ come on" my mom comes in suddenly into my office.

"What happened?" I get up and walk quickly over to her. She was practically out of my office the second I stood.

"Your sister got into a fight at school" she walks hurriedly to the elevators.

"Wait what? Is she okay? What happened?"

"I don't know. The principal just called me and said that she got into a fight and that I needed to go now. I am only telling you because I need you and your sister to watch your ma and me. You know how protective she is about you guys. And right now I think if I see who hurt your sister I might just punch the stupid kid"

"Okay" we quickly exit the building and into my mom's car.

We aren't too far from the school, we arrive within fifteen minutes. As soon as we walk to the principal's office I can see my ma, Stellan, and Kade standing outside the principal's office while Brooks is sitting. There is another student sitting across from my family. He has a cut above his eyebrow and bloody nose. From the look of it I am pretty sure he is going to have a black eye tomorrow. There is also some dried blood on his uniform.

They are all staring at him with daggers. I can see the anger radiating off of all of them. As we get closer I can see the bruising starting to form under Brooks left eye. The anger builds inside me instantly.

"What happened baby?" my mom crouches down to Brooks.

"This asshole is what happened" Brooks says angrily pointing at the unknown kid.

"What the fuck did you call me" he stands up quickly and takes one step towards Brooks. If by instinct me, Stellan, and Kade all step forward, blocking him from Brooks. I do not care if he is a minor. I will do jail time if he tries anything.

"Touch my sister again Luke and see what happens" Kade says with his fist ready to punch the kid. We are all trained to be able to fight very well, but Stellan and Kade have never been ones to be in fights. So for Kade to be this close to taking a swing I know that is beyond just mad.

"That is enough!" someone says, catching our attention and we turn to see that it is the principal. The same principal that all my siblings have had. The same principal my moms had when they came here. Principal Lewis. He is too old for this.

"Sorry we are late Principal Lewis. We can as quickly as we could" a mom replies. I am assuming they are the parents of Luke the asshole.

"Well assuming that you all want to be part of the meeting and my office is too small we are going to have this discussion elsewhere. Follow me" Principal Lewis replies and we follow him to an empty classroom.

We all sat at desks with Principal Lewis in the front. Both parents sit with their child between them while me and my siblings sit behind our moms.

"Now as you can clearly see, your children were in a fight earlier today. A teacher had to separate them in the school gym during lunch. Specifically the teacher had to pull Brooks off of Luke. We don't know what the argument was about but there is no acceptance for physical altercations. Would either of you like to explain what happened?" he looks at my sister and Luke.
