Sterling's POV

"Me and Elliott are together"

"Inside, now" my ma tells us and we follow behind her.

"Since when" she asks.

"We had our first date the Sunday before you both met her for the first time" I reply.

"So you have been sneaking around with my daughter behind our back this entire time?" my ma sternly asks Elliott.

"Ms. Kane, Ms. Vanderbilt I promise you that it is not like that. When I first met Sterling I had no idea that she was your daughter. I didn't even know that she worked at your company let alone who she was. But I truly care about your daughter, a lot" Elliott replies, giving me a small smile after.

"I know that keeping us a secret was not the best idea but I really like Elliott. The way I feel about her is something I have never felt before with anyone else. And if you both will give her a chance I think you will like her a lot too"

My moms both give each other a look before turning back to us. "Fine, but Sterling you know the rules"

"Yes I know" I roll my eyes. "I'm sorry" I turn to Elliott.

"Sorry for wha-" she asks with a concerned look. Elliott doesn't get to finish her sentence as my ma wraps her arm around Elliott's shoulder and pulls her to my parents' office.

"We just need to have a little talk" Ma tells Elliott.

"I hope she passes. I like her" my mom whispers to me before joining them in the office.

For the next thirty minutes I pace around the entrance hall waiting for them to get out of the office. I never know what my parents tell them because they make them swear to never tell me and usually they are always scared to tell me.

To my surprise when the door opens they all come out laughing. That has never happened before. Usually the person I date comes out looking more worried or scared. This is the first time that they have all come out of the office laughing and smiling.

"Everything okay?" I ask nervously.

"Yeah everything is all good," Elliott smiles at me.

"Come on now it is time to meet the rest of the family" my mom tells us. I pull Elliott back for a second before the rest of the introductions.

"Did everything really go okay?" I ask.

"Yes. I think they like me even more. Come on, I want to meet everyone else" Elliott pulls us to the backyard. I am happy that it went so well but I can't help but still be in a bit of shock at how well it went.

The rest of the introductions go pretty well. Actually more than well. Everyone in my family seemed to have really liked Elliott. I hope it goes as well when she meets the rest of them, especially when it comes to my grandparents. What they think means a lot to me.

"Mind if I steal her away for a bit?" I interrupt Elliott and my uncle Declan's conversation.

"Of course, it was nice meeting you Elliott, congrats on passing" he laughs before leaving. Everyone knows that if they are meeting someone that I am with then that means that they need to talk with my moms first.

"Where are we going?" Elliott asks.

"Somewhere alone"

"W-wait are you sure that is okay?" I can't help but laugh at her nervousness.

"Let's just say that I am giving you a house tour" I tell Elliott as we walk into the house.

"I don't know Ster-" I cut Elliott off with my lips crashing onto hers. It takes her about half a second to stop worrying and reciprocate the kiss. Her hands come up to the side of my waist.
