Elliott's POV
My nerves are as high as they have ever been in my life. They are good nerves however. It is a mixture of happiness, excitement, and some anxiousness. I have been waiting for this day for six months. The day that I get to marry Sterling.
"You got this" Drew smiles at me as she helps me with my boutonniere. "It's okay to be nervous. It is a big day and your emotions are big today" she smiles.
"Thank you. I honestly don't know if my emotions know what to do. It feels like they are fighting each other on deciding which one is winning"
"I hope it is the good ones"
"Definitely. I get to marry the love of my life. This is the best day of my life" I smile thinking of Sterling. She never let me see her dress but just the thought alone of her in a wedding dress brings a smile to my face.
"What about the day Noah was born?" she laughs.
"I love Noah and the day she was born has a piece of my heart...but Sterling was my first love" I admit.
"It's okay Elliott. I felt the same way. I love my kids with everything I have, but their mother was my first love as well. The day I married her is still the best day of my life" I love to hear about Drew and Blair. Their story is beautiful. Not in the perfect movie type of love. It is messy and untraditional, but it is perfect for them. It is one that many look for. What I look for.
A knock on the door grabs our attention. I tell the person to come in. The door opens and Brooks walks in.
"Hey, it's time" she smiles. I asked Brooks to be my best man, well maid of honor I guess. She said yes.
"I'll see you up there" Drew gives me a hug before leaving the room.
I take one last breath before walking out.
Much of the wedding planning was done by Blair, Sterling, and Stellan while the rest of us just showed up and did what we were told. I didn't care for all the details, I just wanted to marry Sterling. I gave my opinion when asked, but for the most part she decided on things.
I'm wearing a black lapel deep navy suit with a black shirt. Both me and Sterling have one person standing next to us. I chose Brooks and she chose Stellan. They are both in navy blue that is a few shades lighter than mine. Brooks in a suit and Stellan in a beautiful elegant dress.
For our entrance we decided to walk in together. I waited at the entrance doors for Sterling. The doors have not yet opened. At the sounds of footsteps I turn to where they are coming from.
My body instantly freezes. Needing to take a moment to let my brain process what my eyes are seeing. She is so beautiful. She is beyond beautiful. There are no words to describe her at this moment. If angels exist then I am staring at mine right now.
"Elliott" her call breaks me out of my trance.
"S-sorry...Sterling...y-you look amazing" I smile. Now that my brain is starting to understand what is happening I can feel the watery tears build up.
"N-no please don't cry" Sterling quickly cups my face. "If you start than I will start and Stellan is going to kill me for messing up my makeup" she says, making me laugh slightly.
"I-i'm sorry" I look up trying to get the tears to stay in. "It is hard to not get like this when I am seeing you like this. Sterling you are angel sent. I might have to not stare at you throughout the ceremony or else I won't be able to hold them back" I say while still looking up at the ceiling.
"Baby, look at me" she softly pulls my head back down to her. "It's okay. I want those eyes on me rather than not on me. If that means a little meat up makeup then it is fine" her thumb softly runs over my cheek.
