15 : I Love You

Elliott's POV

It has been two weeks since Sterling's been back home recovering. She is able to fully walk on her own and do most other things alone as well. There is some pain for certain activities but she is getting there.

I have spent every night at her house since she has been back. Surprisingly her parents are okay with us sleeping in the same room together. I thought that when they caught us the first night I would not be allowed over anymore, but they were actually cool with it.

Since spending most of my time either at work or with Sterling I have gotten closer to the rest of the family. Brooks and Kade feel like they are my younger siblings. We get along very well. Stellan and I have gotten close over our similar interest in books. We both enjoy some of the same authors. We also bonded over work.

With Drew and Blair I have gotten to know more about them. I enjoyed hearing their love story. It made me happy to know that Drew also didn't come from a perfect family. It was also funny to hear that Blair actually couldn't stand Drew the first time they met. The love they have for each other is something that is only written in stories. It is the love I want to have. And I think I do.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" I turn to Sterling. We are sitting outside in the backyard on the grass as the sun sets. She is sitting between my legs with her back against my chest. My arms are wrapped around her body, holding her to me.

"Of you"

"You're so cheesy" she smiles up at me.

"No seriously, I was" I smile back.

"Come here" Sterling's hand grabs onto the back of my neck, pulling me down to connect our lips. I reach up cupping her face. My hand softly laying on her cheek.

As we pull away her smile remains. I get caught in her memorizing eyes. "Sterling"

"Yes?"

"I think I'm falling in love with you" wait did i just say that out loud?

"What?" she sits up causing me to lose focus on her eyes.

"Um nothing" I quickly regress my statement. I turn my attention to the grass, avoiding the embarrassment.

"No say it" she tilts my head up.

"I'm...falling in love with you. Well actually I am in love with you"

"I'm in love with you too" she smiles, making me feel warm inside. My nerves start to settle down a bit but are still there.

"R-really?"

"Yes" she pulls me into her, smiling into the kiss. I grab onto her waist and pull her to me causing her to sit on top, straddling my waist.

The seconds go by with neither of us wanting to pull apart. It started as a happy innocent kiss and is now turning into breathtaking make out. While our lips move, hers slightly part and I slip my tongue in. I bite down on her lip making her moan. I return the favor and part my lips for her.

I can feel as Sterling's grip of the back of my neck gets tighter the more we continue to kiss. The feel of her lips, her body on top of me, and the moans coming from her are making me only be able to focus on her. Which would be good any other time, but we are in the backyard of her parent's house. Then suddenly it starts to feel really good. Too good.

"Wait, wait...Sterling we have to stop" I breathe out as I pull away.

"No we don't" she pulls me back into the kiss.

"But...your parents are home" I pull back again after a few seconds.

She sighs at the reality, "I forgot that they were here. Wait, but they are going to be gone in an hour"
