"Oh my god, I just got us tickets to the new haunted house tomorrow night!" Wendy squealed holding up three passes.

"No way!" Red grabbed onto hers and looked it over like it was the stick of truth itself, "How did you get these? They only do limited groups at a time!"

Wendy beamed, "Let's just say my boyfriend knows one of the scare actors."

You hold onto yours and read it over.

"What's this QR code on the back?"

Wendy scans hers on her phone and shows you the screen.

"This is the waiver you have to sign. It's pretty long so make sure you take some time to read it."

You scan yours and scroll through it.

REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANT AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT : by signing this contract, I_______________(Participant name), do voluntarily agree to participate in the below listed activities.

1, Participant consents to come in contact with real weapons and may leave with lasting physical injuries.

2. Participant gives permission to leave NOTHING off the table. Anything imaginable can and will happen inside the haunt.

"Jesus Wendy, how is this even legal?"

"I don't know!" Wendy smiled wide, "Isn't it awesome!? I can pick you guys up tomorrow night at ten!"

"You got a job at that faggy haunted house?"

Michael took a drag off his cigarette leaning on the wall next to his friends.

"The pay is ok and I get to scare the shit out of all those preppy conformist posers."

Pete flipped his hair. "I guess that's pretty cool."

"I can go far with it too. There's like a super long waiver they have to sign so basically I can do whatever I want."

Michael didn't normally get excited about anything, but he became a little less dreary ever since this haunted house came to town. South Park was usually a pumpkin- patch-family- friendly kind of town that didn't capture the darkness that Halloween was really about.

All the actors took their place in the house. There were tons of rooms and corridors designed specifically to confuse the participants. The goal was to separate them and give each of them a tailored experience.

Tonight's group was that prep Wendy and her poser friend Red. There was another girl's name on the waiver but he didn't recognize it. Then again, he didn't pay attention to really anyone.

Whatever. She's no different than the rest. They're all in for the shock of their lives tonight.
