The large blue gates which welcomed people to the large H shaped school seemed almost nostalgic now. Aizawa walked onto the campus grounds he last stepped on months ago. In reality it had only been a couple weeks, almost a month that he spent with the young girl, almost a month of Eri still unconscious, almost a month of basically living in that small hospital room
Aizawa began to wonder what his bed felt like, the plush mattress and heavy blankets seemed like a far away memory. Rolling his shoulder he thought about his current residence in which to rest, a rickety old chair that made his butt go numb, cause agitatingly strong back pain and cause cricks to form in his neck
His bones felt like a rusty set of armor and yet he wouldn't trade sleeping in that chair for anything, not as long as that child still slept in that room
The fresh breeze of the afternoon air was a scent he didn't know he longed for, and he made note to try and open the child's window, the stale oxygen that circled about in that confined space getting suffocating even for a home body like him, though creating an easy way to enter that room from the outside made him slightly anxious, not wanting a repeat with the League or any other organization, he couldn't be sure no one else was after her
Strolling leisurely down the red bricked path he watched as students passed him by, walking around with their friends as they enjoyed their weekend
Entering the empty school building of UA he made his way up the long flights of stairs, the large glass windows bringing no light to the corridors as the sun was blocked by a hoard of clouds tenaciously clung to the beaming ball of light
Passing by his classroom the thought of his students crossed his mind. The large red door scrawled with 1-A held and empty room full of abandoned desks as his students huddled away in their dorm. He hadn't seen them for awhile and it felt slightly strange. He went from seeing the gaggle of teens everyday to not even seeing a glance of them in passing
Its not that he resented staying in that hospital, no not at all, he wouldn't hate it, couldn't hate it, as long as those children were housed in that medical building he would be there everyday and night. However he couldn't deny that he longed for his old life. He missed his bed, he missed eating proper meals and he most of all he missed teaching his annoying students who could never shut their mouths
It was strange how his life was flipped in almost an instant, but he didn't mind. While he longed for the previous mundane days he spent in the large school, he didn't dislike the days he spent in the hospital with the young girl
He just missed the familiarity and he almost felt as though he was on vacation with the sheer amount of time spent away from home. Despite the fact that he didn't travel to a sandy island in which he could lay in the sand and bask in the rhythmic beat of the crashing of waves, he was still enjoying himself. He basked in the repeated sound of the words rock, paper, scissors and the cheers of elation he would hear every day. He would rather bask in the scenery of watching, the child thrust her fists skyward when she reigned victorious and scoff in annoyance every time she was defeated, over the view of any scenery that did not hold the child in its forefront. He only wished that in the memories he made with the young (h/c) haired girl, Eri could also join.
