It was always hard to see one another.

"Bubba"

Whenever she called out she was simply ignored. Left standing alone in her far too large room as the door slammed shut. Barricading her from the only person she wished to see.

It was lonely.

Her bed felt too large, her room felt too cold, her life felt too empty.

She was trapped in this space with no where to go, locked up in dark rooms as she prayed the door would not open.

She never lay in bed, crouched on the ground beside her overbearing closet which held every last doll Chisaki tried to bribe her with. Every last toy that his cronies gifted because good girls get presents and she was a good girl who sat still as they dissected her body.

She was a good girl who only cried when no one was looking.

She hid in that room, hoping no eyes would spot her, hoping they would see an empty room and leave but when that door screeched open that sickly tune would play out.

"3"

and she knew she had to move.

"2"

because if they reached 1 she would face punishments worse than death.

She would sit in those chairs, strapped tightly as blood gushed from every limb, as needles pierced skin causing that dreadful pain to ricochet up her arm and storm throughout her body, cold numbing bruises gnawing on her from the inside out.

Torturous prods as she heaved out, struggling to gasp for air, her only saviour the sense of knowing that as long as she was the one they fixated upon the younger could be safe, knowing if she was here then the younger would not be the one stabbed repeatedly, the one who watched with dying breaths as the glinting beak taunted beneath the lights.

It was he who haunted her, it was he who haunted them both.

"Bubba"

She could cry to see the child, nerves wracking her body every passing second that the girl wasn't by her side. She would be gone for awhile and when she returned...

Eri didn't like to think about it, the way teary eyes would meet hers as shrieks of pain echoed out into the small cavern the younger had to stay in.

She didn't like it.

"Bubba"

It would pain her to wait, staring up at masked figures who simply passed her by, paying no heed to the child held tightly in the arms of a white coated man. "Eri if you keep asking you'll never get to see 22195 ever again."

It was a threat, a threat that she knew he would follow through with, so she sealed her trembling lips, longing for her return.

It was always scary when her door slammed open, metal colliding upon metal as Chronostasis stalked inside, yanking the wary child into the hall before she could even utter a yelp. It was scary as she was dragged down corridors, holding her breath after every door they passed, hoping and praying that they wouldn't enter a room that wasn't hers.
