the boys and i were currently on our way to the nearest Starbucks to the recording studio we were at for the day. any chance we got to sneak away was like heaven to us, recording an album is harder than it seemed.

"i really hope that hot barista chick is there," michael snickers as we take a quick left down a street. "she totally wanted me last time we came."

laughing, calum says, "i'd hate to break it to you mike, but that's what you say about all girls."

"because it's totally true, have you seen my beautiful face?" michael asks, causing the two boys and i let out hearty laughs.

as we inch closer towards the entrance, we see a group of girls around our age walking out holding large clear cups with the starbucks logo printed on them.

"hey, isn't that sophoe? wicked witch of the west," ashton laughs, pointing directly at my ex-girlfriend.

"let's hurry before she sees us," i say, trying to pick up my speed, pushing the three boys along.

"hey sohpie!"

just as the words leave ashton's mouth, she turns and looks to our direction, all while the boys run off into the cafe.

stopping dead in my tracks, sophie says something to her friends, causing them to laugh and walk away. she casually strolls up to me, smiling up at me, "hey."

"sup."

the tension between us could've been cut by a knife, this was possibly the most awkward interaction i've ever had in my life. and that's hard, because i'm a walking awkward stick.

"ya know, i kind of miss you," i casually say. "it's weird not seeing you."

"i know, but i broke up with you and i had my reasons."

"whoa, hostile, but i understand."

laughing, she continues, "do you luke? do you really?"

"i mean ye-" i hated being cut off, yet she still does it.

"you really dont, i don't even know why I came to talk to you," she says, looking over her shoulder.

when i take a quick look over, i see multiple men pointing cameras at us, all going off in unison.

this girl was using me, everyone was right. jade was right. calum, ashton and michael were right. i'm so stupid.

"you fucking used me," i spat at the girl standing in front of me. "i can't fucking believe you right now."

"what?! no," she lies fell straight out of her mouth.

"don't lie, you've been caught. own up to it."

"luke, i cared about you, but when you chose that girl over me, i lost it."

"live happily ever after, sophoe." and with that, i made my way inside. no girl was going to use me for fame, no one was going to make me look stupid.

when i entered the cafe, i quickly looked around for the guys. i spotted them almost immediately, we really are so noticeable guys.

"how'd that go?" michael asked letting out a low chuckle, "you two back together?"

"yeah, no never again. i'm done with dating for awhile," i let out a deep breathe once the words leave my mouth. "i'm so sorry guys."

patting my back, ashton gives me a quick hug, "we love you no matter what, dude. just so you know though, i told you so."

after the guys and i got our drinks we quickly made it back to the studio to finish up the work for the night.

we had just made it back to the house, 4:00 am the clocks read. but for some reason, i wasn't tired. i wanted to talk to someone, and lucky enough for me, cal was the least bit tired as well.

i was laying on the big couch while he was on the love seat, attached to his phone as usual.

"texting your girlfriend?" i joked with my best friend, "what's she doing?"

"actually no, i'm just on twitter."

he was being short with me, which was the complete opposite when it came to him. he was one of the most talkative guys i know, something was up.

but before I could ask him anything, he turns to me and asks, "i have a question, luke."

"what's up?"

"do you still have feelings for jade?"

i was a bit taken back, no one had asked me about jade in so long. i didn't know how to respond, so i answer his question with a question.

"i'm not sure, why'd you ask?"

letting out a low sigh, calum runs a hand through his hair and stands up, "i think i really like her, dude."

"wait, what?"
