it had been about a week since calum and i signed the papers that said we were dating.

so far everything was peachy, but today the managers were making us have our first outing as a couple.

but traffic, as always, was bumper to bumper, making the drive to the restaurant hell.

eleanor had called to check up on me, seeing if things were fine and making sure everything was going as planned.

"you know jay," el stated, "you're going to have to be seeing this boy almost everyday, thats twenty-four hours, one-thousand four-hundred minu-"

"el, im glad you know how many hours and minutes are in a day, but i understand." it was a given that calum and i would be spending time together, maybe even alone, and i was okay with it. "plus cal is a cool guy, we get along pretty well."

before eleanor could say a thing, the door to my suv was being opened, and flashes of lights were going on.

"i have to go, i'll keep you updated with frequent texts," but before i let her answer me, i ended the call and slipped the phone into my pocket.

"why did they have to pick one of the busiest restaurants in town to go to?" i whispered to myself as i made my way to the front door, "why couldn't we have ordered-in and called it day?"

tony, my personal body guard, laughed, "well publicity is a big factor in this industry, miss jade." he knew everything, how calum and i were forced to date. "just wait until you two break up, things will get only ten times worse."

"thanks, mister tony, now i'm even more excited," i sarcastically replied.

tony had been my body guard since i first arrived in LA, he was like an uncle to me. he was probably the closest person to me, besides el of course.

feeling a buzz from my front pocket, i pulled my cell phone out just as i walked into the building.

el-belle: calum is still stuck in traffic, just get seated. you'll be seated near a window and once he arrives i need you to kiss him on the cheek. photographers will be all over you two.
el-belle: i'm sorry for putting you through this, its whats best for your career ily
jade: thanks. ily2 and it cool

it was almost ten minutes later when calum finally got to the restaurant, okay it was nineteen minutes, i counted.

"sorry jay, the boys made me change five times before they finally let me leave. and don't get me started on the traffic," calum huffed once he walked up to our table.

getting up from my seat, i take in his appearance. he was dressed in a white button up paired with a black jacket, his infamous black skinny jeans, and black vans. he looked so nice, making me feel too over dressed. i was wearing a black strappy dress with my favorite jeffrey campbell heels.

"oh don't worry, i was only waiting an extra nineteen minutes," i joked, kissing his cheek, resulting in a ton of lights going off.

calum laughed at my lame attempt of a joke, "you look nice, by the way."

we ate our dinner, cracking jokes here and there, a few fans came up to us while we waited. usually i would've gotten annoyed, but i loved the way calum interacted with their fans.

when we were leaving and stepped outside, a fan ran up to us, "oh my god, calum and jade lopez, i love you guys! i'm a huge jalum shipper, can i get a photo?"

"of course, let me see your phone," calum stated, taking the girl's phone, switching it to the front view and snapping a couple of photos.

"thank you so much, i love you two together!" she yelped before running away towards, how i guessed, her mother.

smiling for the cameras, i grab calum's hand as we walk to my suv, which was a ways down, and thats when all hell broke loose.

"are you two together? or just friends?"
"how long have you two been seeing one another?"
"is this you two making it known you are dating?"
"calum, whats your favorite thing about jade?"

ignoring all the other questions, calum answers the last one, "i like when she laughs at my lame jokes, because they're super beyond lame."

"they're not that lame, they're funny," i laugh at him. "sorry guys, but we've gotta go."

posing for one last photo, we climb into the back seat of the suv, closing the door and letting out a sigh.

"that was fun, i guess," calum huffs, as we both burst out laughing, and make our way to the boy's LA home.
