whoever had just walked in heard news that i planned for no one to hear and walked right out. i had debated for the longest if i should or should not tell mike and now i regretted it.

"what the fuck, michael. seriously?"

"seriously me!? seriously you, of all the boys you choose luke to crush over?" michael was pacing back and forth, he acted as if i said i was pregnant with luke's child, instead of saying i had a simple crush on the kid.

"what's the big deal?" i half yelled, trying my best to not be heard by anyone else.

"the big deal is you have a crush on luke, you're fake dating calum, you do realize you could never in a million years date luke and be public about it? and if you did, it'd look bad on you, because to all our and your fans they think you two are the realest thing since Bradgelina." he plops back down, but this time a few seats down.

the idea of dating luke did float in my mind, but i knew i never could. "i know, and i know we'd never be anything in the first place, i mean he's ten and i'm like a six, why'd he go for me?."

"uh, no. first off, you're both tens, so stop putting yourself down. secondly, he's lucky someone as beautiful and talented as you would even want to breathe the same air as him.

"for fucks sake, we're all lucky. thirdly, you need some air, go out back and have fun with the guys."

"ugh, will you come with? i need my mikey poo there with me." i say reaching my hand out for him to grab.

"i will, but only if you never call me that ever again," he laughs, grabbing my hand and getting up in one motion.

once we finally get to the back, where the three boys and the mystery girl are all sitting laughing. but when we come into view, the girl, who i have yet to introduce myself to, sends me the dirtiest and ugliest look.

"jade, mike, this is sophie. sophie, this is mike and j-" luke introduces the girl.

"jade lopez, it's an honor, truly," sophie says laced with sarcasm. "i cant believe i'm in front of current royalty right now."

"current royalty?" i question.

"yeah, big news at the moment i mean," she looks at me up and down, lips perked and eyes rolled.

"um, jade come sit next to me," calum tries to ease the tense and thick air.

i want to slap that look off the bitch's face but i choose the latter and make my way to calum.

we sit outside, getting to know luke's toy for awhile, until she decides it's time to finally head home.

"it was nice meeting you boys," she smiles waving to the guys. "and you too jade."

trying my best to smile without vomiting in my mouth, i wave back and wait until her and luke are finally back inside.

"oh my god, jade, how did you not kick her ass?" ashton questions, scooting over towards me.

i swear these boy's live for drama.

"you and me both, brother."

"i'm not a fan of her," calum states, looking down at his hands.

and the rest of us agree.
