Yuka dashed through the school grounds, managing to evade the watchful eyes of Luna and PSP. Her eagerness to leave the Academy and escape this tumultuous situation, fueled her every step.
In the meantime, Mina, Shiki, and Narumi's worry for Yuka grew with every passing moment. Misaki a 'lower' classmate of Narumi, ever perceptive, noticed their restlessness as he walked alone. His initial reaction was one of irritation, but his concern soon deepened. Something wasn't right, and the absence of Yuka only added to his unease.
"Ugh," he muttered to himself until, he stumbled upon Yuka lying in the grass, her condition worrisome.
Narumi heard a rustle behind the bush and turned to its direction revealing Yuka and Misaki. " Yuka Senpai!" Narumi worriedly called out.
Mina and Shiki hurriedly came close to him. " Oh no, Yuka-chan." Mina cried out of worry and teleported them to safety out of the public.
In the academy's hospital room, the ESP lay incapacitated, an oxygen mask covering his face. Luna watched him with a heavy heart, contemplating the future. Uncertainty loomed, and the need to plan for what lay ahead was paramount. As the ESP slowly opened his eyes, he whispered Luna's name. " Koizumi Luna..."
However, confusion and intrigue marked the unfolding events. An unexpected side effect of the Nullification Alice that Yuka implanted emerged—ESP's Clone Alice had ceased to function, and he had regressed in age.
It was illogical—why didn't the Nullification Alice prevent the Decay Alice from taking effect? The mysteries deepened further. The Implantation Alice had granted individuals like Shiki and Tsubasa the ability to use the Alices they had implanted. Why, then, was PSP a special case, suffering the Alices' adverse effects?
The Decay Alice's impact on its user was understood, as seen with Persona, but even the Nullification Alice acted unpredictably. The ESP's inability to use the Alices and his failure to eliminate the Alice Stones remained unexplained. Were implanted Alice Stones somehow limitless in potency? The inconsistencies baffled their mind.
The ESP called out to Luna and Persona, who were keeping vigil, and implored them for their assistance in locating Yuka. He professed his trust in the two of them above all others, emphasizing their role in helping him in this pursuit.
Luna agreed, pledging her unwavering support, even if it meant standing alone by the ESP's side. Inwardly, she acknowledged that this was the sole relationship left to her, given Yukihira's departure and Yuka's farewell.
She silently bid " Goodbye Yuka-chan," underscoring that Yuka had chosen to part ways first. The intricate dynamics of loyalty and manipulation were at play, with the ESP at the center of it all.
Yuka awoke in an unfamiliar room, and her three friends was there to greet her.
" Yuka-chan~!" Mina gasped and held Yuka's arm, grateful that she's well. Shiki and Narumi sat on the floor as Yuka was laying on the bed.
" Where are we?" Yuka groggily asked, holding her head. Narumi glanced at his classmate, Misaki who obediently sat next to him.
Narumi humorously remarked." My slave..." Shiki and Mina glanced at Narumi asking him to be serious causing the guy to clear his throat. " Ahem-- I mean, my lower CLASSMATE Misaki's room."
" If we take refuge in one of our rooms, they would find us easily." Narumi explained. Misaki, ever resourceful, fielded a phone call on his unique folding mobile phone a testament to Alice Gakuen's technology during their time. During the conversation, Misaki received an update about the school being on lockdown as they searched for a criminal who had attacked the principal inside the academy.
