Misaki had taken a moment to gather her thoughts and compose herself following the recent events. She realized the importance of concealing her Alice abilities, as Natsume had wisely advised her.
Once the decision to use the warphole had been made, they all made their way back to the dormitory to prepare for their next move. After returning to her elementary school uniform, Misaki heard a knock on her window. To her surprise, it was Natsume, and she quickly allowed him entry.
" What is it?" she inquired.
Natsume, perched on the window ledge, looked at her with a serious expression. " Don't use your Alice aside from your main. If you use the other ones, Z's group could easily track you, or even worse, the principal could discover your true ability," he cautioned.
Without uttering a word, Misaki nodded her agreement, fully comprehending the gravity of the situation. " Leave everything to me, and don't overexert yourself with your Alice," Natsume advised before departing.
" In the end, he'll just tire himself out," Misaki mumbled as she climbed out of the window, closed it behind her, and leaped away to join the others at their meeting place.
As they gathered at their rendezvous point, Ruka couldn't help but notice something peculiar. " I can't help but notice. There are a lot of stone statues here," he blurted out. They all observed their surroundings, realizing that nearly everything had been turned into stone. It was as if someone had converted the trees, animals, and plants into lifeless statues.
" It's just like the ones we saw at the entrance to the high school section!" Mikan gasped, holding Penguin securely in her arms.
As the group continued to explore, Natsume abruptly stopped. " Stay back," he cautioned.
Out of nowhere, an object landed in front of Misaki, having flown between Ruka and Mikan. It was a flower that had once been vibrant and green, but now it had turned into stone.
" What-..." Misaki stammered.
Tsubasa, the senior member of their group, spoke up. " It can't be... This tree has been changed by the Alice that can convert things into stone."
" Changed?" Mikan's eyes widened. Tsubasa explained that it was no easy feat to transmute objects into stone; Alice users needed precise control to achieve such a transformation. The group watched in awe as the trees surrounding them began to fall.
" Run quickly!" Tsubasa urged as he grabbed Mikan, prompting her to follow him.
" Step on the tree's shadows to stop them from falling, Baldie," Natsume advised, causing a sweatdrop to appear on Tsubasa's forehead.
" How can I do that in this situation?" Tsubasa quipped.
They began to run, doing their best to dodge the falling trees. However, an accidental collision between Ruka and Mikan caused Penguin to slip from her grasp and fall to the ground.
" Whoa!" Ruka exclaimed, managing to maintain his balance. Mikan glanced back at Penguin. " Penguin!"
" Leave it!" Natsume urged as he saw Misaki pick up Penguin. " Just go!" Misaki shouted, signaling for the others to continue running.
As they were running, Misaki had just decided to put up a protective barrier, anticipating that something would soon threaten her. The trees were about to collapse upon them.
" Misa-chan!" Mikan shouted, rushing to Misaki and activating her Nullification Alice even before Misaki could form the barrier.
" Danger!" Mikan cried out, clutching Misaki tightly. To everyone's astonishment, what should have transformed Misaki into stone had no effect due to Mikan's Alice.
