Within the realm of dreams, Shiki was ensconced in a vivid recollection of a conversation with Yuka. The focal point of their dialogue revolved around the pilfered Alice stones clandestinely housed within Shiki's body. Yuka, with a furrowed brow and a touch of apprehension in her voice, voiced her qualms about the ever-growing cache of Alice stones they had liberally extracted from the ESP.
In this ethereal space, Yuka broached the idea of amalgamating these pilfered Alice stones into Shiki. Holding a bag that cradled these stolen treasures, Yuka suggested this integration, a proposition that Shiki found repugnant. His reluctance was palpable as he hesitated, grappling with the distasteful notion of incorporating the ESP's Alice stones into his own being. Yet, despite the inherent disgust, Shiki acquiesced, succumbing to the unsettling request for the sake of Yuka and their shared cause.
Shiki sighed heavily, his hand pressed against his forehead. " Today marks the day I allowed Narumi to visit Yuki's grave... And the day of Misaki's meeting with the ESP."
Meanwhile, Misaki savored a solitary tea session in her room. " Ah, relaxation time~," she chimed happily. With her weekly homework swiftly completed, she indulged in the luxury of lounging and unwinding.
After Bear departed, leaving her with tea and snacks, a knock echoed on her door, signaling a visitor. Misaki turned, revealing the ESP accompanied by two guards, poised to ensure Misaki adhered to the rules.
Unbeknownst to her, Misaki's expression held a hint of annoyance, drawing a raised brow from the ESP. " What's with that look? Planning to turn me down again?" he asked with seriousness.
Misaki averted her gaze. " I suppose my answer remains the same, no matter how many times you try to persuade me," she replied.
" Ashikaga Misaki, use the remaining Stealing Alice to extract the harmful Alice stones Yuka implanted in my body. Shouldn't you take responsibility as the friend of Yuka's daughter?" reasoned the Principal, prompting a confused look from Misaki.
" Huh? No matter who instilled the Alice stones in your body, I believe that is your retribution—a price to pay for your misdeeds, greed, and selfishness. You'll die anyway, so go on and live your remaining days peacefully, Principal," Misaki nonchalantly declared. The ESP grew increasingly angered and frustrated by her rejection.
Despite Misaki's disrespect and the ESP showing signs of limited time due to the side effects of the Alice stones, he declared his intent to ensure Misaki would never leave him. " It's amusing how much you hate me, even to the point of disrespecting me, the Principal. I wonder how long you can go on refusing me."
" I don't have any intention of letting you get away. Never," the Principal asserted. Misaki, hearing his statements, felt a shiver of fear and disgust.
" As long as you can't lay a hand on Mikan and the others," Misaki muttered to herself.
Part of the agreement between Shiki and the ESP stipulated that the ESP couldn't punish or manipulate Misaki under the condition that she didn't cause trouble. Trusting Shiki and the others to protect her, Misaki understood that she would be shielded from the ESP's control as long as she abided by the terms and refrained from attempting to escape. If she violated the conditions, the ESP would be authorized to impose punishment on her, a consequence that Shiki couldn't prevent once initiated.
" Visitation hours ended. Please head back, Principal," one of the guards announced.
As the ESP left, glancing at Misaki, she breathed a sigh of relief, slumping into her seat. " Gah... That was bad," she commented.
