Tsubasa, now out of immediate danger, seized the moment to provide an explanation to the group. With an air of urgency, he began, " This painting is actually a map of the whole area, and it reveals the locations of the warp holes."
The students gathered around the painting, carefully examining the intricate map. It was clear that this was a pivotal moment in their quest to save Hotaru and retrieve Inchou's stolen Alice.
Amidst their relief, a sudden exclamation from Mikan grabbed their attention. She dropped a small bottle, and her cry., " Ah! Wait" prompted Natsume to take notice. His sharp eyes honed in on the bottle, marked with the word 'ZERO.'
" Zero," Natsume muttered, pondering the significance. He cast a glance towards Tsubasa, surmising that 'Zero' might be the code or password needed to activate the portal. This discovery held the promise of not only rescuing Hotaru but potentially outwitting their adversaries.
Misaki, while watching Mikan crouching to retrieve the fallen bottle from beneath the rubble, recognized the potential importance of the discovery. Her keen instincts had always served them well, and her gaze flickered with a mix of curiosity and concern. With the assistance of Penguin, the precious bottle was safely recovered.
Natsume's mind was racing as he connected the dots. He'd always been the analytical one, and the significance of 'ZERO' as a potential code intrigued him. " Perhaps this is our way out," he mumbled, his voice tinged with excitement and determination.
Natsume couldn't resist commenting, " At least you have some use," his voice holding a rare note of affection. Penguin, the ever-faithful companion, had played a crucial role in their mission. The small gesture of recognition and appreciation for the loyal penguin brought warmth to their tense situation.
As they prepared to activate the portal, Misaki's vigilant nature couldn't be quelled. She spotted a precarious situation and shouted a warning. " Get out of there, Mikan! The floor's gonna—"
Before she could finish her sentence, the floor gave way beneath Mikan and Penguin. In a split second, Ruka lunged forward, grabbing Mikan's arm and preventing a catastrophic fall. Penguin, however, clung precariously to the edge.
While Tsubasa managed to successfully activate the portal, he reminded the others to assist Penguin. " Let's go! Oi, help Penguin up!" he called out, a sense of urgency underscoring his words. It was a race against time, and their every action had consequences.
Misaki was determined to reach out and grab Penguin, but it was just out of her reach. Her voice trembled with worry as she hissed, " Don't you dare let go." Her leadership and concern for her friends were evident, even in the face of impending danger.
"We won't sacrifice you! Don't let go!" Mikan cried out.
Mikan and Ruka joined forces to ensure Penguin's safety. Mikan clung to Misaki's left arm, and Ruka extended his aid to Mikan. His shoulder ached from the effort, but he would not yield, aware of the gravity of the situation.
" Ah." he hissed.
However, there was a collective realization that their time was running out. Natsume and Tsubasa were growing increasingly concerned for their friends' safety. Their worried expressions betrayed the perilous nature of their predicament.
" If you sacrifice, I won't let you off! I'm not letting you do that, Penguin!" Misaki roared with determination. The atmosphere was tense as they struggled to secure Penguin's safety. The unwavering resolve to protect each other was evident in their actions.
Penguin clung tightly to Misaki as the others strained to assist their friends. With immense effort, Misaki propelled Penguin toward Tsubasa, who stood at the portal's entrance. The sense of urgency permeated the room, and every moment counted.
