Shiki's proposition was met with vehement refusal by the ESP. " How dare you! You, a criminal, dare to make such audacious demands? Know your place," he sneered. " The next Middle School Principal? Preposterous!"
The ESP gave Shiki a disgusted look while scoffing at him. "Why would I entrust you with any authority? You're nothing but a worthless criminal."
" If that's your decision, then watch this academy crumble," Shiki retorted, unshaken. With a summon from his Wish Alice, he gathered only those he aimed to protect. " If you see me as a criminal, then I shall act as one. Amidst this chaos, I'll take those I care for and leave this academy."
" The academy will fall, regardless of my presence," Shiki's indifferent tone further infuriated the ESP. " You wretched—"
The tense atmosphere was abruptly shattered by an explosion, shattering the windows. " Mikan!" Ruka attempted to reach Mikan, but Goshima intervened, dragging her away from her allies.
A Fuukitai member reported Z's bombings across the divisions, plunging the academy into chaos as students and invaders clashed outside. Tsubasa, Misaki Senpai, and Class B stood valiantly against the escalating threats.
Misaki regained consciousness upon hearing the turmoil outside. " Shiki-san," she called out, her voice trembling as if she might faint again. " Please safeguard the academy... Some of us doesn't have a place to go aside from here."
Mikan joined Misaki's plea, asking Shiki to restore the barrier. She acknowledged her inability to leave amidst such turmoil, feeling her mother wouldn't permit it either. " There are painful parts of this academy for us, but it's where our cherished memories reside."
Recalling the intricate memories woven during her time at the academy, Mikan realized it was a place where everyone belonged, where their fates intertwined. " With Shiki-san's help, we can reclaim and reform the school for the better."
" Principal! Give out orders immediately!" The Fuukitai's urgent report of enemies infiltrating the high school division prompted a plea for the barrier's reinstatement.
" What are the Fuukitai and those being manipulated doing?" The ESP resisted Shiki's proposal. " Everyone's at risk," Narumi stated, holding Misaki's hand, worried about her worsening condition.
" Naru," Misaki Sensei supported Narumi, both bearing burns from the chaos. Seeing the ESP's indecision, Mikan couldn't help but implore, " Principal, take action!"
" Shiki-san, save everyone! Please restore the academy's barrier!" Mikan cried out, struggling to free herself from Goshima's grasp. " If this continues, innocent lives will be in danger."
After contemplation, the ESP yielded to all but one of Shiki's conditions. " I can't agree to one aspect of your terms," he declared.
Outside the high school building, Tsubasa, Misaki Senpai, and other students faced off against the overwhelming onslaught of Z enemies. "We can't hold them off, we're outnumbered!"
" Run to the Hanahime-den!" Some students urged as they fled from the invaders. Unexpectedly, a joint effort of Jinno's and Tono's Alices surged, electrifying the enemies, while Shiki's Barrier Alice shielded the students, leaving them astonished.
" For now, our thunder strategy held up," Jinno remarked, while Tono caught his breath. " If only Shiki-san's barrier was successfully casted."
" Now that we've played our part, the rest lies with Shiki," Jinno observed as he gazed at the barrier enveloping the academy's skies.
Meanwhile, the Fuukitai began securing Z's prisoners who'll be having a hard time teleporting outside the academy's barrier.
While Shizune noted an improvement in Hi-sama's condition. " Hii-sama, you look all better now." she muttered as she nursed Himemiya.
