After Mikan and the others left for their mission, Misaki found herself alone in the classroom with Natsume. They sat at separate tables, a noticeable gap between them. The classroom was relatively quiet, with only a few students present.
Feeling fatigued, Misaki rested her head on the table and dozed off, drifting into a light nap.
ZzzzzzZzzZzZZzz-
Suddenly, she was jolted awake by a loud exclamation from Natsume. He looked furious, his eyes burning with anger. It seemed something had agitated him.
"They what?!" Natsume shouted, and Misaki quickly sat up, trying to figure out what was happening.
"Mikan abducted Ruka-" a student began explaining.
Natsume clenched his fists, seething with anger. He muttered, "She failed, even used Ruka to complete her mission. That sly fox."
In a fit of rage, he ran out of the room, leaving Misaki and the other students bewildered.
The students glanced at Misaki, asking if they had disturbed her with their conversation.
"Yes, you did," Misaki replied, "Excuse me." With that, she followed Natsume, concerned for Mikan and her friends' safety. Though they had only just met, Mikan had quickly become her first friend, and she couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to her.
After a few minutes of searching, Misaki found Mikan and the others in a confrontation in a wooded area.
"What's happening?" Misaki mumbled as she stopped a few steps away from Hotaru and Inchou.
Natsume, pinning Mikan to a tree, was visibly angry. "Let go of me, idiot!" Mikan shouted, trying to break free.
"You failed. Now... you will leave the academy," Natsume declared, his tone filled with anger and frustration.
"You didn't use any alice and you even made use of Ruka-..." Natsume gritted his teeth, clearly upset.
Misaki couldn't quite comprehend what was going on.
"Ruka! Tell Natsume-kun that you're fine!" Inchou, their class president, pleaded.
"N-Natsume! Stop, I'm fine... see?" Ruka reassured, trying to calm Natsume down.
"Let go of me!" Mikan continued her struggles.
"Come on and show me your Alice!" Natsume demanded.
"I don't know! I can't!" Mikan yelled back, her frustration evident.
Hotaru, not one to engage in direct conflict, used a smoke bomb to temporarily obscure Natsume's vision.
"Mikan, run!" Hotaru instructed.
Mikan and the others made an attempt to flee.
Inchou, however, found herself trapped within a ring of fire, a result of Natsume's Alice abilities.
As the smoke dissipated, Misaki saw that Hotaru was also confined within the fiery circle.
"Inchou! Stop it, Natsume!" Mikan cried, her voice filled with desperation.
"Natsume, please!" Ruka added, but Natsume remained unyielding.
Misaki, unsure of the situation, stayed out of the confrontation. However, when Ruka approached her and asked for help with her water-based Alice, she hesitated.
"Unfortunately, I won't butt in. It's their fight, and I'm not involved. I'm sure Mikan will manage Natsume's mood right now," Misaki explained, to Ruka's dismay.
