As the closing ceremony of the Alice Festival unfolded, Misaki couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness as she watched her friend Mikan receive the praises. " You did great Mikan-chan!" they squealed.

The academy was a place filled with mysteries and danger, and Misaki had her concerns about her friend's safety. However, she decided to put her trust in Narumi-sensei, who had promised to protect Mikan.

The afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the rooftop where Mikan, Inchou, and their classmates gathered to watch the Alice Parade. The parade was a dazzling spectacle of Alice abilities, with students showing off their talents and entertaining the audience.

Mikan's eyes sparkled with excitement as she gazed at the colorful display below. " Wow, we can see everything here!" Mikan happily said. She was watching the parade, holding the fence.

Misaki couldn't help but share in Mikan's enthusiasm, but she also noticed that the distance made it challenging to hear the music.

"Yes, but since we are far away we can barely hear the music played." Inchou stated disappointingly. " If we wanted the best seats, we need to line up earlier for it. The lines are suuuuuuper long." Koko the kind reader said. The long lines were a test of patience that Misaki wouldn't have endured.

" So, after that parade it's time for the closing ceremonies, huh?" She asked out of the blue, still gazing at the crowd who are having fun at the parade.

Inchou nodded his head at her, " They'll probably announce the rankings."

Mikan groaned and pouted sadly, " It went by so fast!" Mikan expressed her disappointment at how quickly the day had passed.

Inchou mentioned the upcoming closing ceremonies, where rankings and awards would be announced. Mikan's mood lifted as she realized that special awards came with the opportunity to attend the after-party, complete with trophies and cash prizes.

The bell rang, signaling that the closing ceremonies were about to begin.

" Almost time for the closing ceremonies. Let's go!" Mikan exclaimed and they ran towards the ceremony grounds. Misaki sighed since her place was on stage with Natsume and the others, who were all facing the audience. She called out to her friends, promising to meet them at the ceremony.

However, she was abruptly stopped in her tracks when someone grabbed her arm. Gasping for breath, Misaki looked to see Natsume, who lightly smacked her head with a bottle of water. " Idiot, drink," he said, offering her the bottle. Grateful for the gesture, Misaki drank the water before disposing of the empty bottle.

" Thanks," she smiled, and the two of them headed to the ceremony location. Narumi-sensei once again took charge of leading them onto the stage, and Misaki couldn't help but feel a sense of awkwardness in the air.

As all the students gathered and the awarding ceremony commenced, Misaki couldn't help but wonder about the identity of three people seated in the front row, slightly apart from her. " Who are those?"

Natsume explained that they were the headmasters of the academy's different divisions.

The award announcements continued, with the technical class winning the top prize. The King award went to a senior division student whose identity was unknown to Misaki. The Queen award was not given, but the Newcomer award was rightfully claimed by Hotaru Imai. The Special award was given to the Special Ability class.

Misaki couldn't have been prouder of Mikan and Hotaru's achievements. When the awarding concluded, she couldn't contain her excitement and rushed over to hug Mikan.

" Congrats, Mikan-chan!" she beamed, while Tsubasa senpai and Misaki senpai shared in the celebration. " Where's my hug Misa-chan~ " Tsubasa senpai joked as his arms opened wide.

Misaki senpai snorted and smacked his head, " Pervert!" This Misaki senpai is the rumored girlfriend of Tsubasa.

" Mikan-chan! Congratulations! Sorry to keep you waiting for so long." Narumi-sensei joined in to offer his congratulations and presented Mikan with an envelope.

" Thank you sensei!"  Mikan's eyes glistened with emotion as she received it. The envelope contained a letter from her grandfather, and as she read it, the sentiment seemed to touch her deeply.

Misaki chuckled at the heartwarming scene and then decided to catch up with Narumi-sensei. She took a moment to express her observations about how he had changed, especially in the way he looked at Mikan. "  It is nice to see how you've changed. I noticed how you look at Mikan." Misaki started.

" You are an observant child, seeing how you open your self here, you took your parent's steps. You are just like them."He sighed and looked at the sky, " I just hope that all of you someday will have unending smiles. I pray that such future will come, Misa-chan."

The sensei's smile held a hint of sadness as he ruffled her hair and praised her for her openness, remarking that she was just like her parents.

With a hopeful look in his eyes, Narumi-sensei gazed at the sky, expressing his desire for their future to be filled with endless smiles. " Be pretty at the after party okay?" He playfully teased Misaki, leaving her with a lingering question about the academy's enigmatic past.

"Narumi-sensei," she whispered to herself, her curiosity deepening as she sought to uncover the academy's secrets.
