After assisting Misa, Hotaru, Ruka, Natsume, and Youichi in changing into their pajamas, the group found themselves preparing for the night. Narumi and Misaki-senpai took charge of escorting Ruka, Youichi, and Hotaru to the girls' room. Meanwhile, Tsubasa, Koko, and the others were tasked with guiding Natsume and Misaki to Natsume's room, although it was no easy feat since the two were facing each other.
In this awkward scenario, Misaki was designated to walk backward, primarily because Natsume insisted on it. Koko couldn't help but blurt out his confusion, " How will you two sleep in that position?"
" They'll figure it out." Tsubasa, amused by the situation, pushed the rest of the group out of the room with an assurance that the two would figure it out.
" Misa-chan!" Mikan cried out worriedly. Permy was crying out of jealousy since she wanted to be in Misaki's position.
" See you tomorrow morning," Tsubasa said with a grin as he closed the door, leaving Natsume and Misaki in their peculiar predicament. The lights were turned off, and the two attempted to maneuver themselves into the bed, hidden beneath the blanket.
Misaki couldn't help but express her discomfort, whispering, " I hate this." Natsume, however, remained calm and advised, " What can you do about it? Just sleep." His voice was monotonous as he closed his eyes.
Misaki had to lay on her right side while Natsume on his left side. They had to work with that position till morning and the effects of the powder will come off.
Misaki's eyes remained on Natsume's face, and as they lay there in such close quarters, a faint blush crept onto her cheeks. " Natsume," she softly called his name. Natsume groaned in response, mumbling, " I'm sleeping."
Misaki snorted, remarking with a playful tone, " Sure, you're sleep talking then?" Natsume's eyes fluttered open, their faces now closer than before. " What?" he inquired with a straight face.
" Aren't you feeling uncomfortable in this position?" Misaki asked, seeking to understand. Natsume simply hummed in response, saying, " Hmm. Just sleep. This shall pass quickly."
With their eyes closed, they both gradually drifted into sleep. However, as Misaki slept, she was plagued by a strange dream. In her dream, cryptic messages filled her mind:
" Your existence... brings both good and bad to the ones close to you."
Misaki's brows furrowed, and she clenched her hand as she slept, clearly disturbed. The dream continued, " Use your abilities wisely as it costs something in return."
Her breath hitched, and her heart raced as the dream intensified, " See you soon, little red panda."
Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open, and her heart raced erratically. She tried to calm herself, but as she looked at Natsume, she noticed that he, too, appeared to be in distress. His brows were furrowed, and sweat glistened on his forehead.
" Hey, Natsume," she called out, concerned for him, patting his arm gently. His grip tightened on her nape, pulling her closer to him. His breath was heavy, and Misaki became alarmed. " Hey, wait," she hissed.
" Shut up. Let me be," Natsume breathed, seeking comfort by snuggling closer to Misaki. Perplexed, Misaki allowed him to draw near, her hand running soothingly through his hair as she provided solace.
As the two found peace and drifted back to sleep, they lay close together, their shared warmth dispelling their earlier unease.
" Mirai.." Natsume mumbled.
The following morning, everyone awoke. As soon as they opened the door, they saw Misaki holding Natsume close to her chest as if he was precious.
" Woah, woah--," They gasped in surprise. Natsume's eyes opened hearing people inside the room, " Hey, get up." Natsume said but Misaki didn't budge and even hugged him even tighter causing Tsubasa and the others to squeal.
