SA 100 - Mina's prayer

After class, Mina walked along the school corridor alone since Yuka was visiting the student Anju Narumi for the nth time. Mina supported her friend since it'll be an opportunity for her to get along with another student as well as seeing Yukihira Sensei once in a while to report about the boy.

Mina clutched her bag near her chest and giggled to the thought of Yuka's blushing face whenever she brings up Yukihira as their topic. " How adorable..." she muttered with a smile and made her way out of the building.

Once she's out, she saw Yuka running towards her looking panicked, " Come on." the latter panted and grabbed Mina's hand before running to the direction of the Elementary Division Dormitory building.

"W-what's happening, Yuka-chan?" Mina blinked for a couple of times, feeling confused since she was getting dragged along . Yuka pursed her lips, her face looked like she was worrying about something.

" Anju Narumi. Yesterday. Mission. Room." she managed to blurt out. Mina tilted her head while thinking. 'Did they manage to be friends? I heard the boy keeps mocking her.'

After minutes passed, they managed to arrive at the dormitory. The two ran to the room of Narumi as what Yuka stated a while ago. Yuka suddenly forced the door open causing Mina to sweat-drop and smile at the students who were looking at their direction.

" No need to look here, there's nothing to look at, yes?" she beamed and clasped her hands together, the elementary students hesitantly nodded their heads and looked away from them. She saw that Yuka was already inside the room and there was a boy who was sitting by the window.

" Is she this forceful?" Mina sighed and shook her head before going inside the room and closing the door. The boy glanced at Mina before going back to Yuka who was still panting. Mina scratched her head and urged Yuka to go and comfort the boy.

Before Yuka could do anything else, Narumi looked outside the window. " Can I have my alice taken away?" his voice sounded tired with a hint of sadness in it. " You always said to steal mine..." he trailed off and extended his left arm out to the direction of Yuka.

Yuka's brows furrowed together while looking at Narumi. " Using your alice to fulfill the desires of adults to the extent of your limit-- of course it'll take a toll on you..." she bluntly stated and shook her head in disagreement.

" Just go, get on with the stealing. Let me be free from this alice." Narumi looked at her with sad eyes. " You didn't come here to see me cry, right? Start." he added, his voice made Yuka's body tremble but she sat on Narumi's bed and held the boy's hand.

Mina was quietly watching the two before looking to a side. " This kind of moment... why am I even here." she sighed a little before watching the two again. Yuka was stealing Narumi's alice yet it couldn't just be taken away from him stone after stone.

" Disgusting..." Mina suddenly blurted out. The two looked towards her direction but Mina just smiled at them and walked towards the two. " That must be what you're thinking, Narumi?" her head tilted to a side and picked up one of the alice stones that came from Narumi's body.

" Mina..." Yuka called out. Mina chuckled lightly as she sat on the bed as well, she then held out Narumi's alice stone in between her index finger and thumb admiring it. " Look at this... No matter how many times Yuka-chan steals away your alice, it just won't disappear, Naru-chan~." she explained and pointed at the scattered alice stones around his room and on the bed.

" I can't make it disappear..." Yuka sadly pointed out the fact causing Narumi to get frustrated at himself. He ruffled his hair and covered his eyes with his arm. Mina nodded at Yuka who glanced at her, worrying about the boy in front of them.

Yuka cleared her throat and held Narumi's hand, placing his stone inside. " But still... doesn't it look pretty?" she tried consoling the feelings of the boy.

Narumi peeked from his arm, now glancing at his own alice stone that was shining throughout the dark room. " No matter how dark it is here, it looks like stars." Mina cheered and smiled widely yet feeling uneasy if she's allowed to act like this with Narumi whom she just met.

Yuka closed his hand into a tight fist. " Your alice is really beautiful." she smiled a little, Narumi stared at her feeling a little better. " My alice..." he muttered silently and gazed at his palms with the shining alice stone before looking around is room.

Mina nodded her head in agreement. " Naru-chan, Yuka-chan... I know that both of you are having a hard time, here in the academy..." she tapped her chin while the two looked at her. She gave them a hug, tackling the two down on the bed.

"What--" Yuka was startled by Mina. Narumi on the other hand wasn't used to it but he let it be since it was comforting. " What are you doing..." he blurted out but Mina laughed at the two.

" No matter how hard it is, you are not alone. There'll be people who will be watching over the two of you, supporting, and protecting you." Mina reassured them before sitting up and giving them a quick pat on their shoulders.

She clasped her hands together. " So you two should know your value and not waste your life feeling miserable. The alice that the two of you possess are precious-- No need to think about the thoughts of others, alright?" Mina scrunched her nose after remembering Yuka and Narumi's troublesome experiences.

Yuka smiled while sitting up along with Narumi. " Geez, your friend is worst than you--." Narumi managed to declare, covering up his relief now feeling better because of the two girl's presence.

" Thank you, Mina." Yuka sighed a little, Mina snorted and crossed her arms together. " Did I cheer the two of you up?" she questioned with one of her brow arched up.

Yuka glanced at Narumi who managed to crack a small smile. " I guess so." she answered but her eyes were closing out of sleepiness. The use of her alice must have tired her out. Narumi passed out as well causing Mina to sigh heavily.

" I think Yuka-chan just wanted me to help babysit this boy." she whispered carefully and took one of Narumi's pillow and placed it under the boy's head. She did the same to Yuka and gathered all of Narumi's alice stone, placing it beside him.

Mina wrote a note for Narumi telling him to store his alice stones inside of his body for safe keeping. After placing it by the stones, she took a blanket and covered both Narumi and Yuka's body so they wouldn't be cold.

" Such a lovely boy... I want a brother like him." Mina heaved another sigh while fixing Narumi's hair that was covering his adorable face. However, her eyebrows furrowed with the thought of Narumi doing the missions for the ESP like what Yuka was doing.

" I pray for Yuka-chan and Naru-chan's safety and happiness. May the two of you find the path towards the light, abandon that darkness that keeps on hunting you." she silently pleaded and cast a barrier on the two before leaving the dormitory through the other window.
