XIII. Lips to Lips

MIAMI: May 2023

RACE DAY: Kiara can hear Josh through the radio, "5 laps left Kiara." he said. She let out a breath, "I know Josh." she said with a laugh.

The girl was feeling good about this race. Usually, she would let Josh update her about her pace but this time, once she got through lap 30, she asked him to not mention where she was.

She listened to the advice of the team but also defying some them like the choice to pit or not. She was being stubborn herself but then again it starting to go on her favor.

Pierre on the other hand was having the time of his life. He was enjoying every moment he was having. Overtaking his friends while listening to his team through the radio.

It was a great race for the Alpines and the team knew that, the drivers knew that, and the audience knew that.

Lap 53.

Kiara drove past Lando Norris, the sight of her car zooming past the McLaren driver. "Damn, which Alpine was that?" Lando asked through the radio.

"Kiara. She's on a roll. Look out for Pierre, he's just behind Charles."

Lando let out a laugh, "Why do I feel like they're running after each other.

Lap 54.

As Charles overtook Carlos, he did not expect to see the sight of an Alpine car driving past his outside. He let out a laugh, "Please tell me that was Kiara." he said as he spoke.

"No. It is Pierre." Xavi said making Charles curse, "Damn! How did he get that fast?"

Lap 55.

Pierre smirked as he saw the next car that was in front of him, "Tell me that's Daniel." he said through the radio.

"It is Daniel, correct." The French chuckled, "Kindly watch this boys." he said as he pushed the accelerator and moved closer behind the Australian.

Daniel, who was warned already by his engineer sighed, "I wish it was Kiara instead of Pierre." he grumbled as he knew he was going to be overtaken by Pierre.

And without a second, the French went past him, "He better win or else I will make him do the dance with me."

Lap 56.

After Daniel, Pierre saw Kiara. He was still a bit far away from her but he can see that she was fighting against Max.

Kiara hummed as Josh told she was in the DRS zone. And without second doubt, she enabled it and was challenging Max.

The Dutch driver was warned about her presence and knew that she was trying to go past her.

"Don't make it easy for her Max." he heard his radio. He scoffed, "I adore Kiara but it will not be an easy fight for her." he said as he moved in front of her, making it difficult for her to overtake.

"Fuck. I forgot it's Max I'm trying to overtake." she mumbled. Just then her radio turned on, "Pierre is behind you." Josh said.
