Media Day: Charles waiting patiently for the signal for Ferrari's turn on the fan stage. While he was waiting, Nathalie walked to him. She looked at him and smiled.
The Monegasque was glad that the model had yet to leave them. He didn't know how he would have handled if she wasn't there. He had admitted it multiple times, she was his rock. Almost everyone that knew them personally was aware of this.
The model sat down next to him, glancing at Carlos who was talking to Mia that had just escaped the McLaren garage and Lando. She glanced at her best friend, "Cha." She called out to him.
Pulling him out of his trance, "Hmm?" he hummed and looked at her. She gulped, "I cannot get Pierre's words out of my head..." she trailed.
Charles nodded, "I don't think we both expected what he said." He admitted as he stared at her. Thalie frowned and furrowed her eyebrows, "Pierre and Kiara, they have been together since we first met." She acknowledged, a smile on her face.
The driver smiled as well, the memories are playing in their heads. "Do you think they'll ever see it?" Charles asked. This made Thalie chuckle a bit and grabbed his hand, "I think Pierre sees it pretty well." She said.
"So, it's all on Kiara's hands now?" Charles asked, she nodded but gripped his hand tighter, "But let's not give her stress when she wakes, when she wakes up..." her voice quiets at the end of her sentence. Charles smiled and kissed her hand, "She will. We have hope Thals."
"That we do." He answered. The two looking forward again towards Carlos, who now was watching amusedly as Lando tried to convince Mia to come back to his garage.
Finally, being called on the fan stage, Angel tried her best to delay mentioned Kiara. She knew how much she meant to Charles and she didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
But as her team signaled her to ask him, she sighed and sent him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry to ask this Charles but we want to know, how is Kiara?" she asked.
Charles smiled at her, "She's doing good. Like what Pierre said, she is recovering but the doctors want to keep an eye on her. She's been moved here to Monaco which is really better because we can go see her right after each day." He explained, not really wanting to say anything in respect for his best friends and Alpine.
Angel nodded, "Speaking of Pierre, how is he taking it?" she asked. Of course, she knew, seeing as she visited her multiple times, she was good friends with the French drivers.
"Pierre, is okay. He is holding on to hope like all of us." He said with a reassuring smile towards the crowd.
"Pierre and Kiara, you have known for years, what can you say about them?" Angel asked with a smile on her face.
Charles couldn't help but laugh, "I know they have shared how they have met and that was when we were little kids karting. And honestly, I can't really remember when Pierre and Kiara became, Pierre and Kiara." He said, a happy tone on his voice.
"But they were the only ones that were there for each other every moment of the day. Whether bullying me, helping Thalie, playing on the sim, racing, being sick at the same time. So, in my books, they're definitely partners."
