I opened my eyes to the dark veil of darkness in the room. I had had the same dream again, of the Black Panther. Now I could hear it calling unto me, I had no choice other than to follow and respond to its call. As per the silence I was pretty sure the vampires were still in bed. Beside me, Grey was sprawled on the bed deep asleep. I slowly slid out of bed and sneaked towards the door. I grabbed the knob closing my eyes as I twisted it and opened it. I tensed, Grey had a good sense of hearing even when he was asleep. I managed to slip out of the room and pulled the door closed.
I let my instincts lead me to whatever place Reni was. I went down around six flights of stairs, I was tired and panting when I got down at the last step. I sighed, looking around to see if there was anyone around. They despised me, and wanted to kill me. I had to be careful, but I came face to face with a cold blooded vampire. I gulped lifting my fearful eyes to look at the massive figure before me.
He was tall, broad shouldered with dark dreads tied in a ponytail at the back of his head. His arms and some parts of his neck were tattooed. He looked too strong for his own good. Tout, bulging muscles, a thick wide chest and a tough jawline. There was no way was getting away from him.
"Oh, here comes the Gala, I honestly had no idea I will be the one to drain her veins. How lucky I got" he grinned creepily and took a step towards me. I shivered shrinking back. Trying to make myself smaller and smaller. I wanted to disappear from there, how I wished I even knew how to fight.
He grabbed me by my neck and hurled me towards the wall. I screeched recalling the pain when Adelyn had done the same thing.
Goddess save me!
Just before I hit the wall, I was grabbed by my waist... A strong hand! I was airborne. In a split of a second I was in a dark store staggering to regain my balance.
I studied the surrounding once my brain started functioning again, the place was filled up with objects covered up with white sheets. The sheets were dirty covered with smoke and dust. The place was creepy and silent, I turned around coming face to face with Grey.
"Oh, hey" I said nervously since I had no idea what I was supposed to say. I was caught red handed, sneaking around the coven at night. What a shame, I even ended up in the hands of a massive vampire!
"Are you being real right now? Do you want to get yourself killed or what?" he asked angrily, his eyes felt like a sword tearing through my soul.
"No actually, I was...
"I don't want to hear anything we are going back" he tried to reach for my hand but I stepped back.
"No, I can't come all this way and go back without finishing up what I came here for" I said hoping I was sensible.
"Whatever explanation you are planning to give me, I am not listening" he finally grabbed my hand and began dragging me along.
"No Grey I need to find Reni!"
He froze on the spot without warning. I crushed into his thick frame a cry escaping my lips. I stepped back rubbing my nose.
"What did you say?" he swung around with his red eyes shining dangerously. I swallowed nervously.
"Reni is alive Grey" he took a threatening step closer, I stumbled and ended up landing on something kept in the store. He trapped me between his arms leaning closer trying to intimidate me.
"How the hell do you know about Reni?"
"Please don't hurt me let me explain" and I explained everything about the dream and the call Reni was making to me.
"Are you sure about this?" he asked when I was done explaining. He was not really convinced, but he was somehow trying to believe what I had said to him.
